I was hoping that it was mostly just bluster from Trump. But we've woken up to the news that he has actually done it. He's literally swapped sides in the war and is now standing with the aggressor, Russia, and abandoning the victim, Ukraine.

Whatever he does now, on a broader scale with tariffs (which will make things more expensive NOT for China, but for the average Joe), layoffs, warming up towards russia, is not republican, is not democratic, and it WILL come bite him in the ass. There was impeachment attempt already, there were trials - and people who initiated this are still there.

Personally, I think core Trump voters are generally as thick as shit. They wouldn't see it, and probably wouldn't care.

After the amount of hatred levelled at Trump over the last months I'm not surprised he has decided not to play the game any more.

I as an individual can't do much. But I will not visit America, and I hope that sense prevails amongst those who have some brains and integrity in America, even on the Supreme Court benches. There must be some surely over there who can fight back by democratic means in the Congress and Senate?

The only sliver of light that I can see is that as this is Trump's second term then it has to be his final one. Unless he tries to repeal the two terms only constitution amendment, and I wouldn't put it past him to try.
