Angela Rayner’s glottal stops are infuriating

AIBU to be so irritated by the deputy PM’s lazy speech? I was listening to her being interviewed this morning and I was distracted by her Bri-ish/righ-/wai-ed. I googled her and apparently when asking a question about the lockdown parties she said ‘Was you there or not?’
Why does it anger me so much? It is not her accent. I am northern but I don’t drop my t’s and I know when to use was and were.
Her lazy speech distracts from the content. I have my theories but I would love to hear other people’s opinions.

YANBU

But it is not the worst thing about her.

i hope she does build all over the countryside to piss off the NIMBYs who are most likely to be the same people who object to the way she speaks.

No, I'm honestly really, really not. My life is so much nicer than AR's.

From long-form interviews with Angela Rayner, she appears to be self-aware, self-deprecating, funny and intelligent. She definitely holds her own at the despatch box against Conservative MPs who all have degrees from Oxford or Cambridge.

You, on the other hand, may be privately educated and hold many qualifications, but you appear to lack empathy, have no sense of humour or self-awareness and you embody the phrase 'self-praise is no recommendation'. I doubt that you have suffered any hardship in your life or had any character building experiences and it shows in your self-satisfied contributions to this thread.
