Trump will say that the war continues because zelensky refused to co operate and left the meeting, I hope zelensky never returns to the USA , what a dreadful spectacle. I'd be ashamed to be american

Wouldn’t have a fucking clue about the horrors it can entail.
And that vile Musk clapping on X like a deranged seal.
He will be turning the White House into a theme park.
As for Gaza-on-Sea, no respect for thousands and thousands of years of history in that region, its complexity and delicacy. All about him.
I don’t often say ‘whoever only grazed his ear missed a trick’… but…

Of course it will affect us, and any other time there might be huge numbers demonstrating, but at the moment people here are struggling to pay their mortgage, their energy bills, and getting medical care. Not sure what’s happened today will be the top of their priorities, and clearly Starmer thinks the UKs interests are with America, judging by his fawning bum licking exercise earlier this week…

If anything, the subsequent economic downturn will have made people more angry, and angry people tend to protest more. Trump is also more directly adverse to the UK than he was last time.

We don't yet know how Starmer is going to respond to today's performance. I was all on board with the idea of the state visit yesterday when I still believed that we had a chance to influence Trump. It now seems clear that our very best efforts at influencing made no difference at all, so we need to change tack.

King Charles doesn't get any say in the matter. His role is to follow UK government requests with regard to any state visits.

I absolutely don’t agree with Trumps behavior today, but to suggest there will be demonstrations if he comes to the UK is off the mark. Outside MN, a lot of the UK will be oblivious to all what’s gone on today. Not enough people will care enough to demonstrate.
