A shocking sight. Vance had no right to interrupt the President of another country and insult him. President Zelensky is at least of the same status as Trump.

What really bothers me is that no one is highlighting exactly what was said when Vance interrupted. It shines a light on why he interrupted President Zelensky. when he brought up the question of the invasion by Russia in 2014.

Trump turned to him and said: ''Wasn't it in 2015''?. Trump had forgotten the year of the invasion in a conversation directly connected with the invasion of Ukraine.

President Zelensky was about to respond to that when Vance realised Trump had once again had a lapse of memory. Forgetting his low status, and keen to cover up Trump's faux pas, he leaned forward, pointed his finger and laid into the Head of State of a country in the midst of war. He shouted at him and accused him to prevent the conversation of Trump not remembering when Russia invaded.

Trump had already forgotten he had called President Zelensky a dictator!

Trump did not cancel the contract. There was no contract to cancel. Zelensky refused to sign it, because Trump refused to tell him how much bang he was getting for the billions of bucks in rare minerals he was offering.

It was a shady deal. Trump wanting the rights, but refusing to outline what those mineral rights were buying. Then he accused President Zelensky of not wanting peace.

When did an arms deal become a peace deal?

There was the further incident when Trump said: ''Are you prepared to wait until bombs fall on heads to discuss peace''?

He had forgotten perhaps that the Ukrainians have bombs dropping on their heads every day.

With all the memory lapses, perhaps Trump has dementia? jd there to help with memory and to deflect when Trump gets it wrong?

Talking of free speech -I remember when our American driver on a band tour in US many years ago was amazed when we showed him a copy of private eye- he said no one would risk it on US for fear of being sued every 2 minutes and even if you are correct the costs of being sued meant few would risk it

Trump said when he was elected that God saved his life so that he could save America. America needs saving from him, especially now he has come out on the side of Putin.

When he won the first time, there was a church service to give thanks. When the procession of the Cross came down the aisle, he stepped forward and tried to start a conversation with the clergy in the procession. His election address had repeatedly told the voters he was a Christian. No Christian would ever have tried to speak to the clergy like that.

When he lost to Biden he stood outside waving the Bible while his friends were attacking the Senate house. It looked for all the world as though he was saying ''See I have God in my hands''. He had no idea he had broken the commandment about not taking the name of the Lord in vain.

Before, during and after the debacle on Friday he repeatedly said ''I can make peace in three days.''. I immediately thought of the great man who said ''I will rebuild this temple in three days''.

Trump is trying to play the saviour role. He thinks he is keeping people on his side by being a Christian to the Christians and the humble muttering leader he thinks the ordinary man in the street wants him to be.

This is a comic opera - a DARK comedy opera. One where Trump and Putin are sitting up in bed together carving up Europe.

I agree too. Putin also wants war. Putin, because he wants to not only try out his latest weaponry and rockets, but because he wants to know the results in his own lifetime. They are both unbalanced cross between sociopaths and psychopaths. Those people take risks. They are also very good at pulling wool over eyes to cover themselves from recognition. I am not a psychiatrist and probably have no right to say it, but Putin for one is repeating what Hitler and Stalin both did, and Putin admits they are his hero's.

What sort of deal did the envoys of America and Russia cook up in Saudi? I have heard - but cannot be sure - that Trump has already done a deal for mineral rights in parts of Ukraine controlled by Putin. It is probably why he refused to tell President Zelensky what parts of Ukraine were in the arms for mineral rights deal. Is it the pre 2014 Ukraine or the post 2022 invasion Ukraine? Trump denied Ukraine assurance Putin would not invade through Belarus and Georgia and break any peace deal as he has already done before.

Trump's weak point is his desire to have his name written in stone on a monument somewhere. A third war matters not to either of them. They want to see change in their lifetime. We just have to make sure that any change suits Europe as well.

I think this is typical of the people who worship Trump because he has the loudest voice.

There will be more, people with this attitude, even in UK. They are crawlers. A greater number of American people are shocked, not just about the insulting behaviour to a brave Head of State of a country at war, desperately seeking the security of his people, even to the extent of signing away until depleted the priceless mineral rights of his country.

I wonder if Trump's deal with Putin is over mineral rights in Ukraine? Trump refused to say what military aid he would send to prevent Putin invading again, breaking another ceasefire. That is troubling because we don't know what was discussed in Saudi.

Does Trump get the mineral rights of Ukraine regardless of whether he gets them from Zelensky or Putin? Was the whole charade arranged? What if there is another arrangement with Putin to refuse military aid to Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine's mineral rights when Putin pushes further into Ukraine?

We don't know. Those rare minerals are desperately needed in US. At the moment that market is controlled more or less by China, who puts up with Putin because they have a long border to protect. Trump increased China's tariff costs, probably because he is sure of getting his own supply of rare minerals.

It does look like it. He has displayed more than a few lapses.

What confirmed it for me was the extraordinary way that Vance jumped up and railed into President Zelensky to stop him correcting Trump's daft question.

It isn't so much the actions of Trump, but the reactions of those around him.

Only a vice president wanting to save the world knowing that the brain of the 'world's most important man' is far from able to run America.

President Zelensky is a head of state, just like Trump. Trump has no rights over Zelensky. They are of equal rank. Vance, on the other hand, is lowest in the pecking order, and should not even speak to a foreign dignity like that. He should only speak when spoken to. That lapse of protocol can only mean that he is used to covering up the mistakes of Trump already.

He has picked Musk to be his right hand in affairs, and Vance because he can spot when Trump cannot remember.
