And I do agree people shouldn't be allowed to do this, because it definitely could be an MH issue and something the person will regret.

And I do feel the same about "transitioning" surgery too.

Ah it didn't take long for the "transitioning is mutilation" crowd to emerge. No one even asked. You don't get a say on what people do with their own bodies.

hoarahloux · 24/02/2025 23:25

May he rest in peace. I'd love to know how you feel about this woman aside from the nose. And how you'd feel if Rick had also removed his nose in his quest to look like a skeleton.

(incidentally I didn't know he'd died until just now and it was an accidental death, although he was drunk when he died)

I didn't either! I read suicide but I don't know.
I think it's totally up to her yo express herself as she wants, but the nose does give me the creeps a bit. I always thought rick looked really artistic, especially with the body tattoos

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 24/02/2025 20:44

Body modifications are far more common now.

Look at the people having their teeth shaved down to stumps and thick white plastic chunks screwed in.

They look ghastly, but it’s their choice.

Hardly the same as this.

hoarahloux · 24/02/2025 23:37

MrsPeregrine · 24/02/2025 23:33

Hardly the same as this.

No, I'd argue that in how inhuman it looks, it's exactly the same.

MrsPeregrine · 24/02/2025 23:37

I feel sorry for her family - imagine if your daughter did this. It must feel like losing them. Heartbreaking.

MrsPeregrine · 24/02/2025 23:38

hoarahloux · 24/02/2025 23:37

No, I'd argue that in how inhuman it looks, it's exactly the same.

This look doesn’t look anything like someone who has has a couple of dental crowns FFS 🤦‍♀️

Rainbow1235 · 24/02/2025 23:41

This is extreme as others have said she was a very pretty girl and to do something like this baffles me . Why just why would u have your nose cut off for a start let alone all the other awful things she’s done .

SquirrelSoShiny · 24/02/2025 23:42

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/02/2025 20:28

Self harm.

Probably from trauma.

Maybe not putting it out there for judgement would be nice.

You took the words out of my mouth.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 24/02/2025 20:29

I quite like the forehead horns.

Her body, her choice.
(And she looks far less weird than the ‘filler queens’.)

Really????!

Devianinc · 24/02/2025 23:46

I feel bad for her, something horrible must have happened to her and I don’t know what else to say. Is this real?

NewMarmiteJar · 24/02/2025 23:47

@hoarahloux have you met many kids?

Snugglemonkey · 24/02/2025 23:48

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/02/2025 20:38

She's sold her story to the press for all to see

Yes. And the right thing to do is feel sad and not reproduce it for others.

I always think I know who would have been going to Bedlam as a Victorian for a look-see on these threads.

That is always what occurs to me too.

SkyBlueCloudyLakes · 24/02/2025 23:56

Lyn397 · 24/02/2025 21:18

It should be illegal to cut off healthy bits of people's bodies. Why would anyone do that to their nose?

Thousands and thousands of ppl have nose jobs - cutting off healthy bits of their body ...

How is this any different to any other unnecessary (read as purely on purpose to change your body) plastic surgery and fillers?? Boob job/facelift etc. is just as much body modification - just more widely accepted. And tbf there is tattooed ppl everywhere - I doubt they are all mentally unstable.

Fraggeek · 24/02/2025 23:59

I saw a reel on insta earlier of Katie price. I don't know anyone can do as much as she has, let alone this!

em2001ily · 25/02/2025 00:01

Pixilicious1 · 24/02/2025 20:28

She’s obviously mentally ill. And whoever has done this to her is totally unscrupulous

Yes, they should have recommend she see a psychologist.

calliete · 25/02/2025 00:08

Not for me (I have some tattoos but am scared of plastic surgery to the point of not having had breast reconstruction after cancer) but having taken a look at her Insta I actually think she looks kind of beautiful! Yes it's extreme and I definitely don't 'get' the nose thing but it's her body so not really anyone else's business. And I agree with other posters that it's not much different to other body modification that's societally more acceptable / conforming to subjective ideas of what's 'beautiful'.

Snugglemonkey · 25/02/2025 00:09

RubyBirdy · 24/02/2025 20:46

Look up the ‘black alien project’….

I am sorry I did that. He was so handsome before too.

FeegleFion · 25/02/2025 00:12

Her body, her choice.

she thinks it’s beautiful and it’s nobody else’s business

JHound · 25/02/2025 00:18

BanditoShipman · 24/02/2025 23:20

I’m going to regret asking this and I hate anything to do with eyes, but how exactly do you tattoo an eyeball? Please tell me it’s just a contact lens or something…. Please?????????

I was just reading the article and apparently…it is exactly what it sounds like!

BetterDeadThanRed · 25/02/2025 00:20

Meh.

I believe in (adult) person's absolute right to do whatever they wish with their own body. ANYTHING. Including removing the limbs, nose, breasts, etc if they wish to, becoming 'Black Alien Project' or this woman. It's their body, their life and their choice. Also all the fillers, botox, teeth and whatnot - personal choice. No one has to like it, except for them.

Do I like it? It's a bit too much. I personally wouldn't do it. But I'm not her. And I actually do like Rick Genest, I think he looks cool.

Will they regret it in the future? Possibly. Maybe. Or maybe not. It's their responsibility and on them. I'm not saying this in a nasty way, but they should make up their minds, stick to it it and accept the responsibility for their choices. Just like any other person.

PandaTime · 25/02/2025 00:27

It's not always because of trauma. Extreme body mods can be addictive like tattoos and piercings can be. I went through a bit of an "alt" phase in my youth—tonnes of piercings and implants under the skin. I almost had my tongue split but chickened out (thankfully) and looked into getting implants in my eyeballs but didn't go that far in the end. I never regretted not getting those things done, but I also don't regret the things I did get done. It was just who I was at the time.

hoarahloux · 25/02/2025 00:57

Rainbow1235 · 24/02/2025 23:41

Why does it matter that she was "pretty".

If she had been "ugly" would you have been so ~baffled~?

Catch223105 · 25/02/2025 01:00

There’s a guy on instagram who is similar, Black alien. He has cut his ears off as well as 2 fingers & nose. Also had horns & other modifications added.

TheCastleDoesNotReply · 25/02/2025 01:01

I wouldn't want to be in her vicinity when she has a cold.

Blownagail · 25/02/2025 01:04

I don't think any well balanced person does this to their body
