This level of extreme mod is probably more common than you expect (while still very rare). The body mod artists (don’t think that’s the word they use but it escapes me) are always booked out months or years in advance.

She isn’t nearly the most extreme either. The black alien body project has had his ears, nose and a couple of fingers removed, plus facial scarification on top of his black work. He had a penectomy and more finger removals planned this year I believe.

As the research paper posted earlier in the thread states, if people with BID aren’t mentally ill, then neither are these people. Not that they CAN’T be mentally ill - but it’s not the reason they’re doing this and it doesnt apply to all.

I actually feel like subdermal implants will end up taking off soon - little dainty ones, similar to how line work tattoos are big. Pain in the ass to heal and they hurt, but if you change your mind they’re totally removable. Even more so than a tattoo.

Oh I do get to have the last word

Fair enough!

A chap called Oscar Marquez is the person who does her "modifications" apparently. I had a Google. There are some interesting pictures, shall we say.

Edited

That was an eye opening few minutes!! Not for the squeamish!!

I wonder what the people he's shown on his social media actually do for a living? And what some of them look like as they get older and that work all starts to look a bit tatty?

RubyBirdy · 24/02/2025 20:46

Look up the ‘black alien project’….

I am glad he has paused his body mods before he amputated his leg.

FlowingFlyingBrook · 24/02/2025 22:51

It’s clearly a case of mental illness.

Dutchhouse14 · 24/02/2025 22:52

I find it upsetting and disturbing she would do this to herself, it's a form of self harm and personally I think it's immoral of surgeons and tattoo artists to do this kind of extreme work.
I think there must be some underlying trauma, mental health issues.
I'd be absolutely heartbroken and if my child did this to themselves.

NewMarmiteJar · 24/02/2025 22:53

Certainly is taking things a bit far.

pizzaHeart · 24/02/2025 22:54

Tbh I want to unseen this.

Onlycoffee · 24/02/2025 22:57

She was so pretty

Would that mean it's ok if someone wasn't so pretty?

Not everyone aspires to be pretty.

Though to be fair, it does feel like a type of body dysmorphia or similar where it's sad to go to such extremes in itself, not just because of how she previously looked.

NewMarmiteJar · 24/02/2025 23:01

I feel sorry for all the poor kids she's terrified.

Enough4me · 24/02/2025 23:01

I imagine if she was my DD how would I feel? - I would want to help her.
She didn't need the bleach, pumped lips and filters originally nor did she need to cover all her skin with lines and disfigure her nose and forehead.
To me it looks like her inner turmoil and sadness has been moved to the outside so we can feel her pain. This isn't chosen tattoos with meanings and piercings, this is self-sabotage.

Thelnebriati · 24/02/2025 23:05

I didn't do anything as extreme as that but back in the day I used to swear that it was the real me; but now I know I was expressing a great deal of trauma. And I agree that many 'beauty' treatments are done for the same reason, even if they have become normalised.

BlackCatsForever · 24/02/2025 23:08

I don’t think the issue is whether she was pretty or not. Fillers, implants, all of these things to me look awful but people that get them (most of them) still look human.

This lady is trying to look like something other than human. It’s my belief that if someone is trying to erase or obscure their own humanity then something more is going on than just a fondness for a particular aesthetic.

freefloating · 24/02/2025 23:11

Oh, the poor little mite. That's not going to look too good down at the supermarket when she's in her fifties. I think the nose mutilation is a step too far, but I suppose she feels this is all her artistic expression or something.

Midnightlove · 24/02/2025 23:16

The nose is too far for me tbh, but I love rick genest, the guy that's tattooed like a skeleton!

Beeinalily · 24/02/2025 23:16

Perhaps she's a demon and was wearing a mask before.

DisabledDemon · 24/02/2025 23:18

It's most unfortunate. Obviously, when someone has reached a certain age, you can't tell them what to do but this is terribly extreme. She may well find her place in this community but it all seems so hurtful.

I'm afraid it's down to her and you can only wait.

BanditoShipman · 24/02/2025 23:20

JHound · 24/02/2025 21:55

And eyeball tattoo can be so dangerous. From the before to the after was a mere 4 years. I wonder what she will think of all this in 10 years time.

I’m going to regret asking this and I hate anything to do with eyes, but how exactly do you tattoo an eyeball? Please tell me it’s just a contact lens or something…. Please?????????

hoarahloux · 24/02/2025 23:22

You can tattoo the eyeball as you can with skin. It doesn't last as long and is, presumably, very painful. It's done with needles, like skin tattooing.

May he rest in peace. I'd love to know how you feel about this woman aside from the nose. And how you'd feel if Rick had also removed his nose in his quest to look like a skeleton.

(incidentally I didn't know he'd died until just now and it was an accidental death, although he was drunk when he died)

ObliviousCoalmine · 24/02/2025 23:25

Starting a thread with photos to rip into a woman's appearance is a shitty thing to do.

Thank you for answering but god I regret asking! I hate anything to do with eyeballs and eyeballs and needles arghhhhhh!!!

You teach your kids to be terrified of people who look different?

StormingNorman · 24/02/2025 23:27

Whoever the fuck cut her nose off should be in prison!

Blownagail · 24/02/2025 23:28

That's some chin shave!
