To be very weirded out by Elon Musks reproductive choices

I think he's up to twelve or thirteen children now with no sign of stopping and seems to have a very transactional approach to impregnating a series of women (presumably through IVF). It really speaks to looking at women as baby machines.
The colossal ego he has about maintaining his bloodline is so noxious.
I'm worried someone like him is so influential.
We'll be in the handmaid's tale before long.

Yes I cant wait, it will blow up like no ones business.

It is going to be like the biggest battle of the meanest of the mean girls

FancyRedRobin · 15/02/2025 18:35

When I look at how he produces babies like they are a product and the regressive moves in relation to abortion and contraception in America, I think we should be worried about our American sisters and ourselves.
Women are broodmares in their eyes.

A very bad sequel of Handsmaids Tale

This. He hasn’t “freed speech”. Hes just changed the topics which can be discussed on X. Changed the algorithm for what gets promoted and what disappears.

Neither Musk nor Trump like free speech. Hence the banning of AP reporter from the Oval Office and air force one because they won’t call the Gulf of Mexico the gulf of America. They said failure by the AP to speak this fact means they can’t be trusted and that AP spread misinformation 🤣

This.

only today DP was saying how much X has changed. It used to be full of his sports news and relevant accounts he actively followed and now it’s US politics and crap he would never read before.

Serpentstooth · 15/02/2025 19:54

Speculating, who would Trump's convict militia support? Would they support Mr Musk? I think so, he's in line with their thinking, even more than Trump is.

Turmerictolly · 15/02/2025 19:54

It's sad the way he's parading his 4 year old son about publicly. The mother, Grimes, seems to be very upset about it but is helpless to stop it. Hadn't he withheld contact for 6 months with their two children? It's plain sight abuse.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 15/02/2025 19:59

I've never been 'very weirded out' although sometimes I have been 'positively perplexed' and occasionally 'grossly gobsmacked' and briefly, once, I was 'doubly dumbfounded' but I found that a dry sherry abated the stress and everything became calm again.

Until the weirded out bastard started off again.

Scrubberdubber · 15/02/2025 20:01

racoonsinbins · 15/02/2025 19:24

Call me old fashioned but I thought the norm was having kids with someone you loved and respected and thought you could share your life with rather than assessing their genetic possibilities.

Love is great but if a dude told me a bad genetic disease ran in his family (example Huntington's disease) I wouldn't want to have children with him.
And yes I'm aware this is going to sound very vain and shallow but I turned down a lovely guy because he was my height (I'm 5"1 and I hate being a short ass) and I didn't want my children to be super short I wanted to water down my own shortass genes.

So yeah I'm not a musk superfan and there's many valid criticisms to be made of the man but calling him a nazi because he has children with good looking intelligent women is bullshit.

I mean maybe he is a nazi he did do that salute a few weeks ago but the above reason was bullshit and not the first time someone's been accused of "practising eugenics" for having some kind of standard around who they reproduce with. Personal preference and all.

Mila6464 · 15/02/2025 20:08

NinaNobody · 15/02/2025 14:31

I can't help but like him. I can understand why he wants to pass on his genes and it's not like he can't afford them?!

You are supposed to pass on your genes in a family, not using women like random bits of meat, however much money you have

Serpentstooth · 15/02/2025 20:09

If it were simply a preference when choosing a mate, its unlikely anyone would call him a nazi. It's all the other stuff. He's a man with serious issues and the potential- and apparent desire - to control the lives of millions, not least those of wives and children. If you met him in the pub and he invited you to breed with him, I think you'd run away. If you had any sense.

OswaldCobblepot · 15/02/2025 14:29

The way he behaved over the cave incident tells me all I need to know about this man.

What cave incident

Butchyrestingface · 15/02/2025 20:31

JHound · 15/02/2025 20:28

What cave incident

The one where he accused one of the British rescuers of the Thai boys trapped in the water-logged cave of being a paedo. Think it was around 2018.

HotTake · 15/02/2025 20:36

The women are more questionable for "breeding" with the questionable gene pool that is the Musk family though. It doesn't only work one way. Unless "rich and white" is enough and all it takes to create a superior "high IQ" race.

The pp seem to be deliberately obtuse because no one has an issue with "preference". That's not the point nor why it's seen as 'eugenics'. Cba to even explain when it's obvious.

HotTake · 15/02/2025 20:45

I hope all the children he's creating turn out to be much better humans than their parents and the opposite of what he intends for them to do with their 'superiority'.

TemporaryPosition · 15/02/2025 20:49

If it helps OP, they can already pretty much artificially gestate lambs, so it won't belong before they're on to humans and then women won't have to do the reproductive labour. Maybe just harvesting tissue/eggs whatever to get things started, but women will be free from having to have children!! 💅

Serpentstooth · 15/02/2025 21:00

I hope you're not casting aspersions on the supremely superior genetic heritage of Mr Musk himself? A man of such superior intellect that he pays, reputedly, a minion to play a computer game in his name so that he can brag about his high score. A man whose stepsister is now his stepmother. A man who scores so highly on the 'Am I a Misogynist?" Chart, all his own work. A man from apartheid South Africa, who has suggested white Afrikaaners should be given asylum in USA due to 'persecution' in SA. A man who openly encourages the Far Right to thrust towards power by persecuting the nearest visible minority. A thoroughly odious individual who writes reality to his own preference day by day. Who wouldn't want more of the same?

Cornishclio · 15/02/2025 21:12

He is very strange and claims declining birth rate is biggest risk to civilisation. No doubt he is trying to create his own white, privileged bloodline. Goodness knows why any woman would want to procreate with him given he is the most sexist, sinister man if reports about him are true. I am not surprised him and Trump have joined forces. Both two of a kind. I am just glad they live over the other side of the world to me.

Yes that's the one. He said it out of spite because the authorities decided not to go with his hairbrained rescue plan. I don't think he gave a monkey's about saving the boys, his motivation was to be seen as the big hero. Wanker.

Allswellthatendswelll · 15/02/2025 22:59

I just read an article in the Times about him and X (the kid in the oval office). It's creepy af. Apparently X is his emotional support child and he's not that interested in the other kids. He just takes X everywhere like a weird mascot.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 15/02/2025 14:07

Because the planet doesn't need that many additional human beings on it.

That’s why he wants to go to Mars

beencaughttrollin · 15/02/2025 23:05

He's a misogynist and an anti-black racist and the shit his whispers in Trump's ear reflects that. You decide what if anything you want to do about that. Personally if I were living in the UK I'd be speaking up in favour of Ukraine, NATO, and South Africa.

How can declining birth rate not be a threat to civilisation? I say this as someone with no kids myself. I agree with him on that statement. That isn't weird.

Cornishclio · 15/02/2025 23:50

@sparrowhae There is a body of thought that says the world is over populated and that can lead to lower living conditions, overcrowding, scarce resources and social unrest. A higher population needs more housing, more infrastructure, increased use of natural resources which are finite anyway. So even though birth rates are declining this is not necessarily a bad thing.

My worry more is Elon Musk means that the birth rate is declining in western developed countries with white people particularly. This smacks of genocide and not a million miles away from Hitlers thinking in the 1930s. Why does he think we need lots of mini Musks with the same bigoted, sexism and racist views as him.

Or Elon Mutton...
