I am Not "Woo" at all but this just happened

so I'm in no way, shape or form "woo" buuutttt just been sitting on side of my bed texting on my phone and my soundbar for TV (which I've had for 4 years with no issues) just decided to launch itself onto the floor, has hit my foot and cut it, picked it back up thinking how weird 🤷🤷 went back to my phone and a bottle of water, tube of face cream and a lip balm on top of my chest of drawers then launched themselves across the room, pretty freaked out by this point but still being rational in my head, picked phone back up carried on messaging back a friend, looked up to think what I was trying to type and felt a big tap /slap and literally saw my phone fly in the air and land other side of room, trying hard to think rationally but feeling pretty spooked right now
😭there's a rational reason for all this, yes???

I'm not Woo tho, in any way shape or form, is why I'm asking for any rational thoughts!!

So you've checked your local FB groups and the local news?

I'm going to go with very small rupture in the spacetime continuum. Any mad scientists trying to do extreme physics in your area?

Toddlerhelpplease123 · 09/02/2025 21:42

If this is real then it’s terrifying. There is no explanation for that.

…how is it ok to just say you’re anti-catholic?!

Hopefully it’s not a sink hole OP

WildFlowerBees · 09/02/2025 21:43

You don't need a priest, just tell it to politely bugger off that you don't appreciate having your stuff moved it's your house so sod off. Or you could do what all good ghost hunters do and shout into the void 'hello?' 😆

It's much more likely to be an earthquake, minor tremor or sink hole thing.

I experienced a minor earthquake in Manchester once (around 2003ish) and it felt like being pushed

I too felt my heavy Victorian brass and Iron bed that I had at that era shake and vibrate one night- like heavy lorry lumbering past - but it was middle of night- I thought someone was under my bed shaking it.. Leapt out, and felt the floor vibrate.

Didn't have internet then, but next day at work others mentioned it, it was an earthquake {SW England 2004 ish}

I had something needlessly launch itself off a shelf in the middle of the night last night. At the time I thought meh, and went back to sleep.

This morning I thought OH SHIT IT'S MICE

No sign of mice.
Sometimes it's a shift in temperature in the night which makes things creak.
Then I thought it's a mega spider, it's the season and I live in an old building.
Then I thought fun! A poltergeist!

So I am none the wiser. Currently my best guess is an undead voodoo anarchist spider with a drunken feng shui fettish. Which is obviously entirely reasonable.

Yours sounds bigger than spider. Perhaps a spectral giraffe? A phantom gorilla? The spirit of a catapult?

MounjaroOnMyMind · 09/02/2025 21:54

When I was pregnant years ago I was napping on my bed and suddenly found myself on the floor. I thought I must have just been lying too close to the edge and went back to sleep but found out later there'd been an earthquake here. Have you checked the local news?

Not woo either but had the weirdest thing happen to me also this week. Moved into a new house, invited my sister and niece over (5) to see it. Niece goes into dining room/makeshift playroom and starts screaming literally about the angry old lady in there. We calm her down, nothing more said.

then three days later. Friend comes with her little boy who’s 3 and he starts saying and crying while playing in there pointing at nothing about the lady and she has a sad face! 😬😬😬 it’s literally an empty dining room with some toys I’d set up for them! They’ve never met each other my niece and friends son! So now I’m scared to go in there 😂

I don't remember this ( thankfully ) but when my parents bought our house my mum bumped into the previous owners ( funnily enough all ended up being really good friends )

And the wife asked how we were all getting on, my mum said all was great aside from little nearlythere refuses to go in the bedroom, she says there's an angry old woman in the corner. Apparently the previous owner asked if it was the front bedroom ( it was ) and said her son had said the same thing when he lived there

It was a really old house, had a fire and a celler with a coal door thing AND was directly infront of a graveyard. We could see the top of the gravestones from the back bedroom window

frig off😭😭😭my worst fear!!!

Well we do have slag heaps of slate, granite, limestone. Coal more towards Wrexham I think. Blasting perhaps. We do get rumbles in north west Wales.

15 years, nope nothing at all before this, the elderly lady died here before we bought house, was told it was haunted, but I don't belive in all that!! 🤔

I bet you're changing your mind on that not believing in haunting etc!!

I'd have packed and gone by now!!😂😂

@Tacsi you sound great, and very grounded, please let us know if/ when you discover what it was but assuming it wasn't a ghost (it wasn't) it may be something actually harmful either externally or internally so be mindful of taking care pf yourself for the next few weeks.

ahhh thank you🙏definitely isn't a ghost!! might be hallucinations or MH issues like some ppl are insisting on here (it's not)😂😂 but I would like to find the logical reason behind it all, whilst I sit here nursing my cut foot😂😂😂😍

I've had this happen to me. The way the items fly with force is completely unnatural so you know that something is very off when it happens! I've also had a phone do it where is has flown across the room from being on a table.
I was an atheist up until that point but I spoke to many people and the conclusion was to pray and also sprinkle salt around. It helped and didn't happen anymore but I also moved so don't know exactly what would have happened.
It really gives me the creeps when I think about it and have tried to think about possible scientific reasons to do with physics perhaps that I don't fully understand.

@Minimili your AirPod is in or under your bed - if it's not there anymore you've accidentally got it tangled with bedding or clothes. You can say you fell asleep with an AirPod in and then it got lost and blame it on a ghost, come on now.

don't have an air pod, I'm still stuck in ancient world of android, they won't let me go aghhhhhhh
