Every day waking up to yet another insane declaration from Trump. America is losing the respect of the world

It's like a parallel universe - how did America come to this? So now he plans to ethnically cleanse Gaza we are told - to create the 'Riviera of the Middle East.' A golf course and hotels probably. The £2 million people can just go wherever. Wtf! AIBU to think America is imploding in on itself?

The original resolution was from the US, but Europe forced some amendments, which basically condemned Russia's invasion and asked for the addition of the text you quoted, so US had to abstain.

Look at the graphic, the US didn't abstain, it joined Mali, Eritrea, Russia and North Korea in voting against.

The other way - Yellow abstained, Red - No.
Even China abstained.

It says a lot that US now vote the same and Russia and North Korea.

Thank you @nearlylovemyusername . It’s interesting to see which countries voted with Russia or the US. I’m guessing that some are ideologically aligned (eg. Russia and Belarus), some were leaned on and others were bought.

I can't help thinking that the statue (with its extremely elongated legs) was triggered by (the not especially tall) Emmanuel Macron correcting him. He felt slighted and his knee jerk response was to place himself above Mr Macron by overemphasizing his height.

Then was jaw droppingly shocked to discover that I didn’t rhink any country was, not even my own. In fact none of us Europeans around that dinner table did.
