How often do you have homemade soup?

Just curious. I am always thoroughly impressed with myself when I make soup instead of buying it. Feel like Martha Stewart especially if I have whacked the bread maker out.

Just curious how often people make soup? Growing up my parents literally never once made it.

I make a batch for work lunches most weeks in the winter. Sometimes I don't have time and buy a pot of the fresh stuff.

All the time. I made some yesterday as the kids have demolished my freezer stash. Mine is really cheap to make and it's really healthy as well,

I'm making soup tonight. We usually have a pasta dish on Mondays and I just feel like my father's Italian meatball soup. It's just a standard minestrone with meatballs in it. He makes his own meatballs using a pork/beef mix and with a mozzarella cheesy centre but I use the bog standard beef meatballs you buy in the supermarket. With loads of parsley and grated cheese on the top.

It's cheap and easy and doesn't take long and is healthy and tastes a 100 x better than a tin. I'm quite happy to make soup.
