To wonder if Starmer can survive the vibe-shift?

Trump has been going hell for leather since his inauguration it seems, things are changing fast - Trump likes the UK, but he doesn't like Starmer. Starmer seems out of sync with the changing tide, and seems (to me) to get it wrong and make it worse everytime he opens his mouth. AIBU in wondering how long Starmer can hang on?

It matters to Sunderland.

You can't claim the Labour has made a massive difference to one of the most deprived areas the UK and then not even stop to apologise that you didn't know the figure was 183 and not 30000.

Oh lordy we're at that posting stage with the crying laughing emoji.

Interest in jobs just no care for those lost due to the budget

People really are committed to their party no matter what

Who do you suggest I apologise to @ByMerryKoala? Who have I offended?

ByMerryKoala · 27/01/2025 16:27

Just for disseminating total and utter codswallop.

BIossomtoes · 27/01/2025 16:28

Nobody apologises for that. There would be entire threads full of nothing but apologies. And you still haven’t told me who I’m supposed to apologise to.

ByMerryKoala · 27/01/2025 16:31

🤣🤣🤣

EasternStandard · 27/01/2025 16:32

Haha

Maybe at Labour central 183 jobs identifies as 30000? And Sunderland is both relevant and irrelevant to job creation. And everything is going super, super well.

I suspect the course of this government will be Starmer gone by the end of the year the Labour sacrificial lamb of Raynor in for a couple of years then they will choose someone to match the general feeling on the country about 18 months before the next election who will decry everything Raynor and Starmer have done.

As an aside are there really this many Labour voters who think the country elected Starmer- we don’t elect leaders on general elections we vote for our MPs .

I suspect Reform or Reform /Tory strategic coalition with agreed spreed of candidates in the constituencies will be where the country heads next election
