Is it disrespectful/problematic to take a sex toy in hand luggage to Marrakech?

We are going to Marrakech for a holiday in a few weeks and I would like to take my vibrator.

I’m likely to take just cabin bags.

Will I encounter issues either going through or leaving the airport? I know it’s not illegal but I don’t want issues - or to appear disrespectful.

Cannot see an issue. There is a risk that it shows up in your luggage on a search. Just describe it as a massager for muscle strain. No issue.

They have sex shops in Marrakech, so I can’t see how this would be an issue.

I think that poster makes a fair point. If you’re concerned about your bags being opened and your vibrator potentially checked by airport employees, and would be embarrassed if it were, isn’t there an argument for managing without for a holiday?

I think the embarassment would be too much for me. It won’t be disrespectful etc. I also don’t see the hand comment as unnecessary. I was thinking the same thing.

I think the comment about using my hand is judgemental about using a vibrator.

If there's sex shops there as a PP already said, why dont you just wait and get another one there? Avoid any kind of 'problem' that way

I didn’t read it that way, just as a question about whether there wasn’t an easier way as a short term holiday solution.

And I never suggested you should be embarrassed — you’re the one who said you didn’t ‘want issues’ in your OP. Given that you know it’s not illegal, it’s not clear what other issues you might be concerned about if not airport employees removing and checking your vibrator whether at your home or destination airport, which would certainly cause embarrassment to some people.
