I’ve put this on AIBU as it appears to be most read. A brilliant article about the rape gangs and the ensuing cover up.

Yes, exactly.

And add to that in the case of the horrific subject of this thread, she was also a child.

Yet somehow we are supposed to think the men involved are the vulnerable ones, simply on account of their religion?

Please, can we stop talking about this already? It’s been days now and it will only further embolden the far right!

You are the problem. You are the reason why thousands of girls have been raped.

dcbgr · 08/01/2025 18:45

The UK does not keep good statistics on the ethnic origins of criminals. This could be because authorities are worried that the statistics would lead to indigenous Britains blaming their elites for bringing large numbers of ethnic minorities into the UK without the consultation or consent of the indigenous population.

Similar countries keep statistics on the ethnic origin of criminals and the results are clear that men of some nationalities especially from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and African countries commit crime at many times higher rates than local inhabitants. Also men from other immigrant groups especially Europe and south east Asia commit crime at lower rates rates than indigenous people.

This data is readily available for Denmark, Germany, Sweden etc. You can easily google this.
"Non-Western Immigrants Commit One-Third of Rapes and Violent Crimes in Denmark"
"Sweden rape - most convicted rapists are foreign born says BBC"

We also know men of African origin are greatly over-represented in knife crime in London and muslim men are over-represented in jail in the UK.

I can not stand Elon Musk, in fact I think that he is quite possibly very mentally disturbed. However, I read the whole article in the Telegraph - but I don't know how I did that if it is behind a pay wall. Anyway, I very soon forgot that he was even mentioned at all, as what I was reading was harrowing beyond measure.

Very sadly, I have to believe all that was said in the article about the "British Pakistani Muslim men". The only thing I question about the whole article is the implied suggestion that it is only Muslim men with Pakistani connections that will behave in the evil manner that those monsters we already know about, behave.

Those of you with your excuses not to read the article because it is in the Telegraph really need to get over yourselves, because it is one of the most harrowing modern articles I have read in my lifetime. One young girl was raped with a hairbrush, as well as the usual body parts used by men everyday to rape and torture their victims.

As I said at the beginning of this, I can not stand Musk, I also can not stand Trump, and have not been able to stand him for many, many, years. I do not read the Telegraph except for articles like this that I happen upon. But if I had known in advance what this article said, I would have paid £100 or more to be able to read it.

@nonbinaryfinery has been kind enough to reproduce the whole article here, so for those of you with all your different "reasons" for not reading the article up until now, please give all the tragic victims of these Muslim Monsters, some respect and compassion, by reading the article above as soon as you possibly can.

Yes, I know that there are millions of other atrocities in this world, and a great many of them are not the work of Muslim men. I have signed petitions and I have made donations to many charities. I have also written to MPs and such like. I have 3 main usual "types" of charities that I frequently give to, which are ones against cruelty - including all sorts of abuse - to children; ones that are against cruelty to animals - except the RSPCA (a terrible organisation in my opinion); and charities for the homeless. In case anyone finds my financial state of any interest, or relevance, to what I have written here, I only receive the state pension and PIP.

Very sadly, I have to believe all that was said in the article about the "British Pakistani Muslim men

please give all the tragic victims of these Muslim Monsters, some respect and compassion, by reading the article above as soon as you possibly can.

The racism and Islamophobia on this thread is not even hidden anymore, it’s out in the open.

And everyone of you who read this and did not challenge this are complicit.

You have zero credibility.

Don't rise to it and play into their hands - those who want, for God knows what reason, to distract and deflect from this appalling case. If they want to go around yelling " far right" bigots at everyone for demanding answers, let them. It's entirely meaningless.

Wise words, @Tweeteroo
We've seen with post after post of dangerous nonsense that there's little chance of sense and even less of the kind of introspection which might lead to an understanding of the damage being done, so why bother?

As I've said on thread after thread there's nothing remotely Islamic in this horror - at least not with the Islam which follows the Quran - but sadly a great deal that's cultural

Unfortunately it's clear that some enjoy using a religious label because this enables them to drag in another "ism", but in doing so they do a massive disservice to millions of thoroughly decent muslims

Dear Christ - 1984 is standard school reading (and should be read by everyone) Lord of the Rings is a standard journey myth.

I can’t believe anyone can be that ridiculous.

Prevent can be that ridiculous (and isn’t fit for purpose).

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 08/01/2025 18:53

HappyPanda613 · 08/01/2025 18:21

Yes. In fact, I seem to recall that PREVENT identified that reading the Lord of the Rings and 1984 can often be a sign that somebody is being radicalised into the far right. So it even extends beyond history and into fiction.

I've just downloaded 1984. I await the knock on the door 🙄

Well what is your reason for reading it? Are you interested in literature in general? Science fiction a big thing for you? Or have you been told by some crazy right winger on YouTube that the evil government is trying to take away your rights and compel you into towing the party line on fear of death?

That would be a big indicator I would think.

Islamic jurisprudence and the impact it has on the treatment of women and girls. In a broadsheet paper today, coming from a former chief investigative reporter as a factor that helped to produce the rape gangs.

My son has read them all. He has even seen some Anglo Saxon artifacts so from now on I’ll deem him to be radicalised!! In fact it’s been right there in front of me, him and his mates all wear this uniform with a symbol on it and clearly worship the non- Tahir Ali endorsed deity Nike!

Nothing to see here, folk.

Quite frankly certain not too distant posters on MN are enough to make me want to pick up every dystopian novel going to remind me of the sort society they would like.

So thanks.

Everyone should read 1984 regardless of their political leanings.
It's a masterpiece of dystopian fiction which illustrates the risks of a society where the population is told what to believe, be it governmental, media or technology led.

So which Muslim majority country in the world represents the true Islam as represented in the quran that you venerate?

If we're talking about entire countries there probably isn't one, because too many have become infested with Wahhabism which Saudi Arabia have used their petrodollars to spread

However even within muslim majority nations - and in the UK - there are happily plenty who live purely Quranic Islam, and IMO these are the people who the wider communities would do well to look to

But they're not as noisy as those who seem to enjoy corrupting the faith, so won't have the same appeal to those more interested in hatred

ChristmasKelpie · 08/01/2025 19:06

You are doing exactly the same has Starmer, focussing on Musk and ignoring the victims.

BIossomtoes · 08/01/2025 19:11

Starmer’s not ignoring the victims, quite the reverse.

Yes. I mean, reading 1084 doesn’t necessarily have any nefarious purpose behind it. Like you said, it is a well renowned piece of fiction.

That said, I would caution somebody to be wary of anybody they know who may have picked up a sudden interest in Anglo-Saxon or Celtic history/mythology. The right in England and Ireland have really started to look back on these periods of time with a disturbing amount of reverence.

Im sure that information will be balm to the victims of rape gangs.

I used to live near Keighley and I remember Ann Cryer, she was a brilliant mp who risked her safety to help these girls.
This is from 2014.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/aug/30/rotherham-girls-could-have-been-spared-ann-cryer

Thanks for this.

For me, this is actually one of the most helpful articles (interviews) I've read for laying out simply and clearly the political forces at play

Ken Livingston🙄

There is such a depressing lack of courage in the places where people hold power😔

The rare ones, like Ann Cryer, are always, so clearly focussed on the victims and their courage stems from that.

I know, JRSKSSBH, but too much of that's also based in culture rather than Quranic Islam itself - though it doubtless suits those who've selected what they want to enact

It's a big subject, but just to take some obvious examples the Quran teaches that women are the equal of men before god, can't be compelled in marriage and are entirely free to enter into contracts in their own name - but don't bother trying to convince some sharia courts of that!!

This is another total bollocks post. Data was previously unavailable because not collected. People of minority ethnic origin were - deep breath as she repeats it again - probably born here

So when you say ‘men of African origin’ I think you mean black males? Because again these will be mostly British males possibly second, third, fourth generation. What is it you want? Because the UK has been multicultural for a long long time. My school was ethnically diverse in the early 80s. Yes there are divisions and issues and difficulties with some communities. We face them and find ways through them. You can’t go back to the 19th century.
