The people who care about CSA in the UK are well aware of the enormous public inquiry and work to implement the recommendations. - https://www.iicsa.org.uk
Most people didn’t notice the 15 comprehensive reports because the inquiry was completed around the time Liz Truss was filling the newspapers.

There are other people who whose motivations have little to do with safeguarding children. They are undermining all the victims who worked so hard with the inquiry.

Chainzreaction · 03/01/2025 14:34

@kistanbul if that's true why are the tories calling for another investigation this morning?
It's disgraceful that it's taking Elon Musk to raise awareness.
How many complicit behind the scenes that knew & failed to act? It's not enough that the perpetrators are behind bars. Everyone who failed to do their jobs & protect those girls need investigating. Not good enough.
Elon Musk has been tweeting all morning, it really boils my piss that our politicians didn't do the same.

As I said, there are other people who whose motivations have little to do with safeguarding children.

If I were you I would consider whether aligning myself with those people serves the interests of victims. There has been an inquiry. The recommendations are being implemented.

Because it distracts you from remembering how long it took them to do anything about it when they were in power AND as the opposition, all they CAN do is undermine the current government.

Well in my opinion you either support child gang rape & drugging or you don't!
There is no middle ground here no matter who you align with!

wholettheturnipsburn · 03/01/2025 14:43

OP you didn't acknowledge on your other thread that there HAS been an inquiry

Why is that?

TheFairyCaravan · 03/01/2025 14:43

Perhaps this will be the thread where the penny drops, to you, that there has already been an inquiry. I don’t hold out much hope though.

tigger1001 · 03/01/2025 14:46

Op, why has it taken you so long to be outraged?

Well said. I hoped this would die a death once the last thread was full. Where was all the concern when the Tories were in power and didn't act on the report when it was published?

Lots of us strongly oppose any form child abuse BUT ALSO strongly oppose the involvement of Elon Musk in UK politics. Especially if he is going around demanding the dissolution of a newly elected government in a democracy.

Thinking Elon Musk has no place in our national political debate is a very reasonable opinion.

OP you didn't acknowledge on your other thread that there HAS been an inquiry

There has been an inquiry but the findings & proposals haven't been implemented.
The tories themselves are asking for the inquiry to reopen.
How many behind the scenes knew what was involved & didn't act with the information they had.

So why didn't the Tories do anything while they were in power? Why wasn't the sainted Elon concerned then?

Yes. But if you don't condone the drugging & raping of tweets then surely it is fantastic to put the spotlight on England & show the world what exactly happened.

This thread and the utter lack of understanding why we should be worrying about someone like Musk interfering with UK politics makes me despair. "But he only care about the poor girls" is utter utter bullshit. he doesn't. He cares about getting his own way. He cares about being seen as the most important person.

Remember what happened when he didn't get his own way with his subs when the rescue of the kids in Thailand was happening? He accused the person who pointed out his subs wouldn't fit a paedophile and tried to wreck that mans life.

He does NOT care about bringing this issue to light for the greater good. I doubt there is a good cell in that mans body. But thanks to people like him, I now don't have the choice to live anywhere but the UK which is utterly utterly depressing.

You really can't think that is a reasonable response. Mind you, having seen your posts...

nfkl · 03/01/2025 14:52

As for the post of 9.07, I can only find this:

"I watched Tommy Robinson's documentary on this a while back and I was so shocked at the cover up. Anyone who can help force the government to finally take action against these monsters is welcome to do so in my opinion."

This is very far from MNers cheerleading for president elect musk and tommy Robinson, the gaslight is sadly very real on this thread.

These women didn't get support back because the culture was not right, they didn't get support because the origin of the perpetrators was not right, and now, because the supporter is not right. Their plight always comes second to ulterior motives.

All the women trying to minimise, whatabout and gaslight what happened because a guy they don't like has an opinion about it, it's not right.
It's not because some women agree with Musk on 1 issue they turn into his stans on everything, the oversimplification and black and white tunnel vision is extreme and the contempt for other women is real.

No middle ground Sooty . You are either for or against the raping & drugging of tweets .
How is that rubbish? There is no grey area.

So hang on, if I don't support a second enquiry, as many people far more informed and involved than myself don't, I am pro child rape??

Liddlemoreaction · 03/01/2025 14:52

Fucks sake. Man has money, man rules the world? He’s the very last person who should be in charge, he’s an absolute whack job.

Wow. WOW.
