People are aware that these gangs have been arrested, tried and are serving sentences; aren't they?
You can look up their sentences on wikipedia. Some got life.

The following headings are actually from the definition of What is fascism. All of them fit Reform, and I've given you a few examples of how.

Racism and xenophobia.

Nationalism and national superiority.
-Using manufactured scare stories about race and religion to seed hatred and nostalgic fantasies about an imaginary previous better time to encourage both the race hate and the superiority complex, as well as constant waving of patriotic symbols.

Identifying scapegoats as a unifying cause.

Disdain for human rights.
-Constant attacks on the principles of human rights and the structures, eg courts, conventions, treaties, that maintain them. Attacks on the justice system (lefty human rights lawyers etc) in an attempt to undermine both public faith in the justice system and actual compliance with the system.

Undermining democracy

  • in the UK, repeatedly questioning election results that are, of course found to be completely legitimate. In 2015 Farage actually said the democratic process was 'dead ' due to ' ethnic changes in the way people are voting. ' combining at least two of my points.

Emphasising strength.L
-Law and order, strict if not cruel punishment. Military power.

Disdain for intellectuals and the arts.

Populism :appealing to ' ordinary people ' against a 'corrupt elite' using manufactured conspiracies to make the argument.

Also 1 in 10 Reform candidates were facook friends with a former organiser of the BNP and founder of fascist organisation New British union, a man whose online photos show him dressed as a Nazi. There is a direct line from the 1930s British Fascist Party to Reform via the National Front and BNP, which makes a mockery of all that ww2 patriotism and Spitfire stuff they're so keen on.

Edited

I’d say the Labour Party fit that definition very well.

'Good on Musk [...] He has called on King Charles this morning to dissolve government.'

Has Musk recently bought the UK?

He ('free Tommy Robinson') and Trump ('get rid of windmills') are both sounding oddly proprietorial this week.

Interesting....
Do you know who he might have bought it from?

And how do you undermining the democratic foundations of our country helps protect our children's future?

It might put a stop to paedophile gangs drugging & raping 10 & 11 year old for a start!

Do you believe that girls as young as 11 were raped and abused by gangs of men, do you believe the woman who brought this to light when she says it’s still happening? Do you think we need to stop it.

I don’t give a shit about people’s motives when they pile on pressure for the rape and abuse of children to stop. It doesn’t matter, it just needs to stop.

You cannot stop CSA, anymore than you stop domestic violence, where almost 3 women a week are murdered by partners or former partners.

All you can do is have a properly funded justice system that works and all allegations of criminal activity are acted on.

On this we have failed and continue to fail.

What Russian interference? I don't think UK security services allow anything which could lead to that.

The Russia Report? https://isc.independent.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/CCS207_CCS0221966010-001_Russia-Report-v02-Web_Accessible.pdf

The committee completed the report in March 2019 and it was published in July 2020, after claims were made that delays to its publication were due to government machinations. According to the report, there is substantial evidence that Russian interference in British politics is commonplace.

JFC
THERE HAS BEEN AN INQUIRY

Suella Braverman, Priti Patel, Grant Shapps and James Cleverly all failed to implement the recommendations.

People are calling for an investigation into this, the failure to implement recommendations?

If Elon Musk cared so much about social justice and inequality he would use his vast wealth to address it directly.

But he doesn't, he just goes around shit stirring because it makes him feel important and powerful to interfere.

Elon Musk is probably not a nice guy, but he's actually done a huge amount of social good, including (I'd say especially) for poor people. He's just done it by solving specific underlying problems rather than by applying a sticking plaster later.

He's made his money by:

• pioneering internet payments, accelerating e-commerce which helps keep costs down (and helps those who are less mobile too),
• driving development of electric vehicles and battery tech, and driving down costs, which are real, tangible steps towards addressing the climate crisis, which threatens low-income people and countries especially
• democratizing access to telecoms in remote/poor/disrupted areas via StarLink

On AI, the most revolutionary technology of the century, his big move was to try to make AI-development non-profit (via OpenAI) and safe, passing up an opportunity to make hundred of billions of dollars in the process.

Judged by concrete steps not by words, which living people do you think have done more for humanity?

Noerc · 03/01/2025 13:12

Feelingathomenow · 03/01/2025 12:57

I think our democracy has long been undermined. We have long had Russian interference. I don’t really care about Musks motives. As long as it forces a further fuller investigation into the rape and abuse of children in our country

Russian interference. A state that commits war crimes, supports genocidal dictators and persecutes its own citizens as political prisoners manipulating our state.

But, hey, no biggie. More of the same, much more, surely can’t hurt.

I can’t believe people are aware of this and still think allowing this undermining of our institutions and way of life is justified.

Sunworshiper · 03/01/2025 13:12

Eh? So you don't want to live in a democracy, you want to live in a dictatorship and you think that will be better for the safety of our children? Are you British?

So stopping men from raping 10 & 11 year old is a dictatorship now! You are aware of the age of consent & that all these children were raped & drugged.
If a dictatorship stops the exploitation of our most vulnerable then bring it on!
