What happened to those girls is abhorrent and the excuses and minimisation even more so (because at least those men are animals clear as day - the excusers were people put in positions where they were being paid to uphold the law and keep people safe).
Some of those people were working under a labour council at the time, but our government was a Tory one - where does the buck actually stop?
Elon Musk is working his own agenda - everyone knows that. But what he is calling out on behalf of Monsieur Farage no doubt is a fair point. There is now such a fear of being branded racist, that people are not being prosecuted or investigated, because those who should be doing it are in fear for their jobs and reputations.
This needs addressing.
I'm glad the spotlight is on this horror show, and hope it will spark a wider debate and change, but pressure needs to come from our own opposition. Elon has done us a favour today, but he is a lose cannon and nothing to do with British politics. Tomorrow's agenda and actions might not be so favourable.
