Labour seem to be very annoyed. Surely this is a very good thing ?

Well the inquiry wasn't much good was it. Changes need to be implemented so it is time to reopen the inquiry to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.

Well this has been a huge failure on the part of the UK government & I for one have no confidence in them.

Well, one thing is for sure, the amount of airtime and column inches filled in the media today is a result of Elon's fast and loose twittering.

This is the shot across the bow. It's not how anyone would like to conduct a proper conversation that conveys the depths of betrayal and pain caused by the establishment's response to the raping gangs. And the whattaboutery that follows.

If people would like a more sensible discussion about the topic then I'd suggest less minimising and tarring of uncomfortable voices and more listening. Otherwise this will be the low hanging fruit that further fuels more inflammatory voices looking to spin pain into political capital.

An enquiry has been carried out and a Tory government took zero action on the recommendations but hooray a South African born egotist with a clear agenda is now using the lack of action as a way to spread his extremist cult to the U.K. so we should be DELIGHTED he’s trying to bring down a Labour government to replace it with…the same cabal who did nothing about this issue you care you so much about.

Oh ffs. Can't tell if you are a far right bot or just genuinely thick. There is no need to reopen an inquiry in order to implement its recommendations. If anything, your idea would just severely slow down the implementation.

How did the police react in the very first instance ? How did the media report it?

What were the recommendations and why were none of them implemented? Cost? Money?

They were dead for a while and that was terrible. Now they aren’t. The 9nes in the frame have been prosecuted. There’s been a report following a wide ranging investigation. Those ‘speaking out’ now are either ignorant or stirring or both.

Critical thinking clearly only matters to you when you agree with the conclusions. What worries me more is ignorance of the facts. It is a matter of fact, on public record there was torture and yet people are trying to suggest this didn’t happen. It is a matter of fact again on public record there were large-scale cover ups. The enquiry that took place, gave recommendations for action that needs to be taken.

So Starmer al should be putting resource and effort into implementing the critical recommendations (rather - ensuring this is happening. And providing visibility of this). So this is not allowed to happen again.

Not sure why an American billionaire is getting involved. Though if he adds sunlight to the issue is that a bad thing.
