To ask what you are doing NYE?

I don't go out these days but trying to gather ideas really for staying in

Also happy to hear other peoples going out and having fun stories x

Meeting up with some of my previous foster children during the day for a run around a local park then home with my current little person. He'll be in bed long before midnight and I will sneak in just before the clock strikes 12 to do his midnight meds then hit the sack myself because at 6am he'll be due some more meds!

its just me and DD16 so we’ll be watching films and playing board games/nintendo switch.

ive bought party food. DD doesn’t drink so I might have a couple of glasses of wine or Buck’s Fizz. I don’t really like drinking on my own and only drink at Christmas .

years ago I had to be in the pub on NYE but even pre Covid it had got worse and worse with the pub being dead and nobody out. We’re rural so no taxis . I just can’t be bothered to go out now.

DH is working tomorrow and will get home at 7.30pm, same on New Years Day. I'm going to get up early tomorrow, clean the house and have it spotless. My DD16 and myself will watch The Sound of Music around 4pm, just as it starts to get dark. When DH gets home we will play board games with the kids and watch a movie. Going to order a takeaway too. We will be in bed before midnight. Never liked NYE and never got the attraction of going to a packed pub and then all the cringey Happy New Year hugs.

Very chilled evening planned -Chinese takeaway at home, a few drinks, maybe some Jackbox Games and then a sofa snooze with Jools!'

I'm working in retail so in until late tomorrow afternoon, pick up toddler and then the usual wrestle into bat/bed. Have had the crappy Xmas cold so as soon as bubba is asleep I won't be far behind.

Wednesday back in work. I don't mind to be honest, had many many NYE knees up (I remember most 🤣).

Only thing I miss from the past is the group of us finally heading out for an all you can eat full English fatty breakfast at some point.

But whatever/however you all choose to spend tomorrow evening, I hope it's lovely for you xx

I am so bloody jealous. I have an SN child so no such luck with babysitting.

I will probably be asleep by 10 anyway. I alway doze off and get woken up by fireworks.
