I don't go out these days but trying to gather ideas really for staying in

Nothing, but relieved it will be better than two years' ago when I was in emergency surgery for a ruptured ectopic (found out I was pregnant and in operating theatre within less than 10 hours of each other) 😢
So not great memories for me!

Must be bad for them to cancel such a big popular event

I planned a nice child friendly restaurant last year it was pleasant and we were in bed by 10. My husband tried to take some of the mental load off me so planned NYE he’s chosen …. A water park 😩 I’m literally dreading tomorrow!

An online escape room & a takeaway curry. Will probably watch the fireworks on TV.

Going to a 'Family Rave' at a nightclub in the afternoon, but will be back home in time for dinner and will have a quiet evening with some Bailey's and the fireworks on the telly.

Same as every other day. Go up for a bath around 9pm then bed.

To be fair I had many many years of working every New Year's Eve.

Im 6 month pregnant and DH has the flu so very very little.

Hoping he feels a bit better so we can at least watch in the new year on tv together.

We're having a small party. Should be fun!

We've ordered a posh meal kit so will be cooking together and having a bottle of English sparkling wine that we've been saving. We're quite high so can watch others fireworks from our upstairs windows. Probably should clean the house too!

We’re staying home tomorrow evening but seeing my parents earlier in the day. I always like to go to bed early ish so I can wake up and have a productive 1st January.

Oh do tell about the escape room! I love them - we played a game that was similar years ago and loved it, but I'd love to investigate this!

Many "loves" at the moment. Might have had a bit too much Bailey's...it's half 8 in Norway to be fair, and the DC are already out for the count! 😂

DH is working - so it’s just me and the kids

So will grab some snack/party food and play a few board games in our pj’s and chill out

Teen Child 2 is not feeling amazing so I’m hoping it passes as I don’t fancy our chances of seeing a GP tomorrow

Having some party food and then probably watching something before turning in at roughly the normal bed time so I can try and get a bit of sleep around all the fireworks.

I did the "Hallows Hill" one from Wolf Escape Games online. Set it up on the laptop and then linked to the TV so everyone could see it. Turned the lights out for spooky effect! It was just tricky enough. They have added another 2 games so will get a different one this year.

The kids are 14 and 17 so driving them to and from parties - but I don’t mind as I don’t drink and not a big NY eve fan.
Friends for New Year’s Day. I’m looking forward to that. Might just be me but I’m much more sociable in the day than the evening.

Staying home watching Squid Games

It’s my DSDs Mum’s turn for NY so DH and I are going out for food then meeting his best friend and his partner for a couple of soft drinks, probably come home about 10, we’ve got a Christmas quiz game that we are enjoying so maybe continue that for a bit and then watch the rubbish TV countdowns etc before bed! Neither of us are big NY people and we’re not drinking alcohol currently due to IVF in January so very quiet one.

There is a local seafront firework display at 6 then the local pub is doing a children's party until 8, we are going with some friends and their children, we will then go home, put ds to bed, open some wine, light a fire and watch a film or maybe big fat quiz if it's on.
