I'll start. Sorry for sticking it here, posting for traffic.

Didn't fancy turkey this year so did a beef wellington, with mushroom duxelle & Parma ham inside.
Goose fat roasties with garlic salt and rosemary.
Cinnamon red cabbage
Pan fried sprouts with chestnuts and pancetta
Normal carrots as my 4 year old won't eat them any other way
Pigs in blankets
Homemade yorkies
Waitrose bought stuffing as I don't really like it that much.

Topped with an orange gravy with a red wine stock pot shoved in.

It was delish. Ate early-ish as I have to eat with medication. Thought I'd get in early and ask you all to share your lovely Christmas lunches!

Also highly recommend the meat from Waitrose butcher counter. It's lovely.

Bit unconventional as it was just the two of us but husband had bacon wrapped chicken + sausages and I had a mushroom and stilton filo pastry (vegetarian), each with zaatar and chili roasties, spicy honey roasted carrots, peas in butter, sprouts pan fried in butter and macaroni cheese.

NZ Xmas dinner here - roasted kumara, potatoe salad, crayfish, feta salad, beetroot salad and cured salmon. The meat eaters had the same plus bbq roasted lamb and ham.

Ooh! Where do you get the gluten free bread from?! Sounds amazing!

Just from the supermarket, I'm in Finland so gluten free breads aplenty. This particular one was made with buckwheat and teff flour, very dark but still soft.

Like I said, I use groundnut oil which doesn't give a particularly dark roast, even with parsnips. If it does become dark, it's usually dried out.

Why use that oil if it doesn't do the job properly?

I made a Tunis cake without the Icing and marzipan fruit, enough calories already. 400 grams of chocolate on the thing ( plus 100ml double cream & some butter), 2kg total weight.

We didn’t take pics of our dinners but we enjoyed the usual combination of carbs, sugar, salt, veg, meat/meat alt, and alcohol.
cat supervised everything all day and enjoyed a parsnip.

It is impossible enjoy a parsnip. They are the Devil's dongles.

You are parsnipping incorrectly then.

We had turkey and ham, stuffing, gravy, roasties, croquettes, cauliflower cheese and carrotts. There were also sprouts - but I declined them 🤣🌱

@Bbq1 as there are only 3 of us for lunch on Xmas day - it would be a very small piece of lamb and a tiny chicken to not have any leftovers
We all like nibbling on pigs in blankets and chicken stuffing sandwiches so do enough extra to last 2-3 days
I always make plenty of mash and other veg dishes that freeze well as saves me time another day
