All the business with Lily Philips - how many men queued up to do what they did to her

And Gisele Pelicot

Are men really that obsessed with sex that they are so desperate to rape and queue up and be solely concerned with their own depraved satisfaction.

I know it's not all men but I'm feeling so disillusioned with men in general and it seems to be getting worse and not better.

Does anyone else feel like this? Also the only people I see posting about Gisele are female.

Where are all the men??

I'm raising boys and to be honest it's terrifying to look at my innocent children and the world they are growing up in.

OP posts:

We are told not to kink shame. We are told sex work is work. We are told Only Fans in empowering. We are sold fetish as mainstream entertainment. We are told the "freak off" parties of major players in the entertainment industry are the places to be for our politicians and industry leaders. We are called pearl clutchers, prudes, phobes and sad old ladies if we raise an objection to any of it. That's why we are where we are. The "nice and normal" don't rule the world - if they ever did.

petedicks · 20/12/2024 16:11

To everyone saying the op compared Gisele and lily - she didn't.

She used them as two separate examples of how gross men are. I'm sure she could've picked a million others

Daleksatemyshed · 20/12/2024 16:12

I'm so pleased for Giselle that all the men were found guilty despite their attempts to make excuses. A pp said some of these men were lonely and desperate for sex - nearly every one of them had a DW, a GF, some had convictions for domestic abuse - these men weren't sad victims who had no sex life, they were men whose biggest fantasy was to make a woman have sex with any man they chose but with no chance of them being caught.
Too many women on here talk about having sex to placate a DH/DP even though they get little or no pleasure from it or find it actually physically painful. That's the same state of mind in those men, they're supposed to love these women but are willing to see them in pain if it means they get a shag

HollyKnight · 20/12/2024 16:12

It always surprises me that women are surprised that men are like this. For the majority of men, sex is just sex. It isn't an emotional thing. There doesn't need to be a connection. It's just something that feels good to them. And for many, if they can get it without having to put in effort to get or maintain a sexual partner, they will. That's what porn is. That's what prostitution is. That's what one-night-stands are. Opportunity to gain pleasure with minimal effort. Most will stay on the right side of the law (Lily Phillips), and many won't (Gisèle Pelicot), but it all comes from the same place - men's desire for sex.

They really aren’t that different.
Lily Phillips is self harming IMHO and what man in his right man would take part in that fiasco?

Not for all the tea in china

MemorableTrenchcoat · 20/12/2024 14:07

The men didn’t do anything to Lily Phillips, they accepted an invitation to indulge in a highly pleasurable and consensual activity with a willing participant.

I would be fascinated to know how many of those men rated that experience as 'highly pleasurable'. from footage of LP afterwards, she didn;t look like it was highly pleasurable for her. Consensual maybe, but fun? Nah.

I don't understand how Gisele's husband got only 20 years? For 10 years of consistently drugging his wife, then running a rape brothel? Seems a bit low for me

Because according to French Law that is the maximum sentence for what he subjected her to.

Highly pleasurable?? To be treated like a public convenience 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Using these two women in the same example makes me very uncomfortable.

Me too, in fact I find it disgusting. Gisele Prlicot is someone I admire. The less said about the other one the better.

It says 53% of women have ever watched porn. I did in my youth and naivety and I didn’t like it then. I absolutely wouldn’t now I understand properly about the exploitation and damage it does, to women in the industry and women as a collective.

What you should have paid attention to is the fact that just 4% of women say they watch porn at least once a week compared to 36% of men.

But you did know that, seeing as you posted the link.

I knew somebody would do this. If the yard stick selected turns out to be problematic, you simply change the yardstick.

5128gap · 20/12/2024 16:21

MemorableTrenchcoat · 20/12/2024 16:08

Exactly. Unfortunately, we’re putting too much faith in many men’s ability to moderate this exceptionally powerful drive.

So, to be clear, what are you saying? That in your opinion men are incapable of behaving in a civilised way when it comes to their urge to have sex? Because that's a pretty extreme and dehumanising view of male people. It also begs the question, what should be done? Because women cannot go on being raped and molested, and if men can't stop themselves from doing it, what's the answer? Preventative imprisonment? Castration?

For 2 minutes before the next one did the same.
Leaving all their fluids and dna

Ffs standards and morals. .

Read what the op’s question was.

Kink, fetish, S&M, gang rape fantasy? The are many revolting (to us) sexual practices that turn these types on, and for them it is pleasurable. And yes, it is often between consenting parties (increasingly, young people coming of age who have been taught this is all normal via porn). And we are supposed to celebrate it - as we are constantly told by everything from the mainstream media to the music industry to the education system to the corporate world.

GremlinsStairlift · 20/12/2024 16:25

I don't clump them all together. Men are responsible for some of the worst things in this world but also some of the best.

I think @honeypotter means the lengths men will go to for sex .

just two examples of what’s in the media just now.
Doesn’t mean they are the same .

But also two very extreme examples .

They’re all fucking disgusting - every single male rapist and every single knee of those men queuing up to be one of a hundred men having sex with that woman.

Foul what they’ll do with permission or if they think there will be no consequences

This. I said to DP on floods of tears this morning. The protestors supporting Gisele were female where are the outraged men alongside them? Where are they?

As women we are conditioned into accepting porn for example as it’s normal and ‘every man does it’ over a 1/3 of men aged 16-24 are addicted to and regularly view porn. Porn represents treating people as meat - pleasure at all costs and it’s free and on their phones to watch at work, at home, in the House of Lords - wherever. It’s just sick. If you are anti porn you are a prude. Men earn more, they don’t need maternity services or hysterectomies and those areas of the NHS are just dire. My daughter aged 16 was told to give up on a diagnosis of endometriosis as the wait was 18 months minimum - that’s ok apparently. It’s sexism and a hatred of women that permeates like a virus through our society. Where are the men and boys wanting to change things?? Where is their action?? It’s silent.

No, no men are incapable of it. All are capable of behaving as society demands. But we are actually animals. We are a part of nature. The sex drive is extremely powerful. The cost of living in our society is that you curb your behavior along social lines. I'm just saying we shouldn't be surprised some men behave like this. It was ever thus.
And yes, those who cannot abide by these rules should be punished to the full extent of the law.
All I'm saying is that rape shouldn't surprise us. Animals do it. Apes do it. Humans do it.

nopalaver · 20/12/2024 16:31

I have a DS who is a young teen. Since around 5 years they have said that girls are treated completely differently from boys by teachers. Girls are too often brought up completely differently from boys - too many boys get less nurturing. Many people say how much they would prefer a girl when trying for a baby. DS has said that some of the children talk constantly about porn, show porn, send eachother porn from twitter/X (why oh why is porn shown on that platform, knowing how many kids use it??) laugh about it, treat girls badly, some girls accept bad treatment and some girls prefer the "bad boys", no input from school, no talks given to students about it all, girls not being taught to reject bad treatment from young age, and kids copy kids - so there may be bad parenting going on but there is also poor schooling in school going on. Terrible stuff easily available on web and dark web and a lot of unsupervised time - because we are told as parents that older children need freedom - true and fine if the environment is ok, but many modern environments/sites are cesspits

These are all reasons just for starters. Entirely foreseeable that all of this could lead to serious problems in adults. All able to be changed easily.

Sexual intercourse and orgasms are, by design, highly pleasurable. I don’t understand why that statement is controversial.

How many orgasms did Lily have?

And most men that I know would prefer to have the intercourse and orgasms with women they care about, not where another man was seconds before

BobbyBiscuits · 20/12/2024 16:32

It's almost like we end up thinking the majority of men would rape if given the opportunity.

But I know so many men that wouldn't dream of behaving that way. The sad thing is the ones that do. I've been raped by strangers and my alleged partner. It feels like a horror show.

I'm so happy I've had the strength to get through it. Once you've learned then you're a stronger woman. But I'm traumatised, no mistake.

I'm so pleased Giselle was brave enough to publicly be identified. I don't know what to say about all the rapists out there.

Sadly I don't think they'll ever stop. Scum.
