He’s fucking locked me out.

Basically this. I’ve text him as I can’t get in, I’ve just finished work. He’s on a works Xmas party.

Said he was setting off at 8:45 and he’d be home for 9 so I said cool, take the key.

Now it’s 10pm and I’m sat in a fucking bus shelter because he’s locked me out and won’t come back with the keys, he’s out and apparently I’m unreasonable for asking him to come home to at least let me in.

I haven’t a clue what to do, it’s 4°, my street is poorly lit and this place doesn’t shut til 12. I can’t afford a lock change so that’s out of the question and my mums not in. So I literally have to just wait.

For the hard of reading -

OP has one set of keys, hers, cos the useless prick who lives with her keeps losing his.

OP gave up her keys on the understanding UP would be back before her.

UP is not back & despite being 15 minutes away with the car refuses to come back leaving her in 4°c at a bus stop.

Should OP get the bus to him to get the keys she'll be met with "ww3" by aforementioned useless prick.

Hardly a ringing endorsement of the quality of said MASSIVELY useless prick

What part of “I got sick of paying for new keys cos he loses them” insinuates that I haven’t had multiple keys.
Theres been that many cut then lost they probably get auctioned off at police raffles.

How many keys has he lost already? You imply it’s more than one? If that’s the case, I don’t want to be that person but why have you trusted him to keep this key on his person? If he loses this one you’re both pretty fucked.

Go to your nearest supermarket or McDonald's to keep warm at least

Decent man would either leave and come home to let you in or pay for a taxi to get you to him and invite you in and introduce you to his friends and get you a drink

The reason there is one key is because after constant lost fucking keys I got sick of him having one. He’s 15 min away in a car. I’ll have to get the bus then be met with world war fucking 3 for going to here he is

Surely going to get the keys is better than sitting in a bus stop in the rain? If he even starts to make a fuss, grab the keys and walk away.

And think about changing the locks tomorrow.

The reason he has my keys is because he didn’t want to stay late and he would be back before I finished work. Fuck me sorry I don’t get a key cut every 2 days incase he loses them again.

I’ll never understand why people stay in relationships with people who they hate and seem to hate them. It’s fucking insane. I have more care and liking for my postie than you seem to for each other. Do you understand what a relationship is? Being with someone that you find good, like, love, care about?!?! Someone you’ve chosen for those reasons? Not the person who treats you horribly and is selfish.
