I can't believe the number of violence against women from men sickening stories that happening at the moment. This one really chilled me to my very core.

Please ask MNHQ to put a trigger warning on your thread, Op.

The title says it's chilling. It's a giveaway it'll be something that could be triggering.

I was sickened by the orally raped bit. I've been there. It's horrific. To think a man did this to someone unconscious and it killed them 🤬

And not their first offence either.

Those people cannot be rehabilitated. 10 years won't do it.

He'll be young enough for a few more victims - it's disgusting

We now know from the Gisele Pelicot case that no end of men would like to do this to an unconscious woman.

Think of her being raped to death. Poor poor woman. How despicable. How dare he think he had this right.

It shows how ridiculous the argument is that if someone is unconscious, or drugged with the drug that blocks memory, no harm is done.

Wonderi · 13/12/2024 19:09

It’s shocking that he already has convictions for similar.

I was banned the last time I started a thread about chemical castration but I do not understand why this is not done in this country.

These men will get out of prison and they will just carry on reoffending until something is done about it.

MaturingCheeseball · 13/12/2024 19:09

Why the short sentence? I don’t understand.

Clearly he was a very dangerous man, and to think such individuals are lying in wait in public places is very worrying. You cannot mitigate against all mad attackers, but this individual had previous, so why was he permitted to be roaming the streets?

viques · 13/12/2024 19:13

Threefigures · 13/12/2024 18:38

The scariest part is no matter how many men it is, we don't know which ones they are.

Well in France they are pretty sure of at least 50 of them. Ordinary everyday men, young , old, different ethnicities, different professions. I know the mantra is NAMALT but the NAM cohort seems to be horrifyingly small.

JohnSt1 · 13/12/2024 18:56

This is nauseating. The sentences are pathetic. It's not just the perpetrators who treated this woman as worthless.

Agree

Qwertyop · 13/12/2024 19:17

He didn’t get 10 years. He got a life sentence, with a minimum term of 10 years. After the 10 years is up he can apply for parole and it will be considered.

If they deem him dangerous still then he won’t be released after 10 years, he could stay inside for the remainder of his life.

mrsmiawallace3 · 13/12/2024 19:18

Yes,this. Lock him up with ' The Sisters' ( Shawshank Redemption). See how he likes it.

NotAScoobyDoo2 · 13/12/2024 19:24

This is what happened to me. I read the article a while ago. I was lucky that the perpetrator underestimated me.

The police investigated and said that it was reasonable for him to assume consent. It's not enough. When they delivered the news I asked them "when he kills someone will you still be assuming it was consensual?" I think about it every day.

He'll be released. Rapists always are.

I think you are correct, he will be released and reoffend.

When I see someone vulnerable my first thoughts is what can I go to help keep them safe but it seems too many men think what can I get away with. It's sickening and frightening.

I think sentences that mean something would be a good start.

2025willbemytime · 13/12/2024 19:29

Please spell her name correctly.

He got life, minimum ten years which is outrageous.

Daleksatemyshed · 13/12/2024 19:36

@ScrollingLeaves I blame porn for this. The women in porn never refuse no matter how painful the act might be, in real life women feel free to say they won't do some sexual acts. In men like this offender the idea of being able to carry out the porn standard, where anything goes, fulfills their nasty porn fantasies.

Tittat50 · 13/12/2024 19:37

Not anywhere near this, but a personal experience shocked me regarding how others might be willing to step in or offer support.

Years ago, ( in my mind 20s), a guy pulled his disgusting little dick out to show me in the corner of a ram packed tube at rush hour. He cornered me and was up against me. I screamed in disgust and shouted, 'that disgusting man just got his dick out and flashed me.' He scuttled off to the other part of the carriage. Not one person came up to me or asked me or checked in. They looked at me like a weirdo. He followed me off my tube, up the escalator! I ran up. Thank something, there were Police there. I ran to them and they collared him. Years ago and I can't remember what happened. Not much I think. I still remember the fact no one said anything to me and I had to stand there terrified until my stop.

Waitingfordoggo · 13/12/2024 19:42

Appalling. Poor Natalie- may she rest in peace.

The worst thing about getting older isn't getting wrinkles or the brain fog or the dodgy pelvic floor, it's the realisation that Germaine Greer was right when she said that 'women have very little idea how much men hate them'.

I used to often add on NAMALT when talking about male crime but I don't really bother now. The Gisele Pelicot case has amply demonstrated that a great many men will do depraved and harmful things if they think they'll get away with it.

And as PPs have said- it might not be all men but we have no idea which ones it'll be so we really have to regard all of them as a potential threat.

TRIGGER WARNING -

I saw extracts of the young porn actress lady and her friend who recently engaged in sex acts with multiple men they invited to participate. She's been all over the news recently.

The violent way in which these men were choking the girls with their penises, whilst the girls proclaimed how great it all was; half blinded by semen in their eyes. I just don't understand how this happens. The number of guys involved in this thinking it's ok, the fact these two really young girls think this is so great to do and promote with supposed support of their parents.
I feel sick thinking what really goes through people's minds. I notice even I reserve most my anger at these two young women and it's the 100 plus disgusting men who are the problem. I don't know why even liberal minded women can default to this thinking.

BlackJacktheDog · 13/12/2024 19:50

Honestly, the older I get and the more stories like this I hear. Or even the more I see men in power 'get away' with treating women like absolute shit without any impediment to their rise in power and wealth while the "good" men stand by and condone it with silence... the more I realise, they really don't give the shiniest shit about us at all.

I don’t understand either, if someone has a history of violence, repeat offender, then surely the sentence should be a life sentence, because they’re proving they are beyond rehabilitation.

Fairyliz · 13/12/2024 20:01

Allthehorsesintheworld · 13/12/2024 18:51

From BBC “Jurors were not told of Iidow's previous convictions for sexual offences.”
Previous convictions.
Freed to rape and kill.
And then a pathetically short sentence so he can be released and possibly ( probably?) offend again.
This is why I’m in favour of the death sentence. A huge number of women would still be alive if these bastards were just put down. Couple of injections, job done.

I agree with the death sentence in cases like when he clearly committed the crime.

sassyduck · 13/12/2024 20:02

Evil wicked bastard. I wish he would burn in hell.

Daleksatemyshed · 13/12/2024 20:06

@Tittat50 the reason why you're more angry at the girls is probably because they've turned porn into real life. The fact they're willing to do this for self promotion makes it even more likely some men will think this vile behaviour is acceptable
