What do you consider the prettiest part of the UK?

I wfh and can move pretty much anywhere. Giving up on London.

Without being practical ie considering infrastructure, transport, weather, demographics etc - where do you consider the prettiest part of the UK to be? I’m talking in terms of natural scenery and architecture. Or you could split it up.

I personally adore Norfolk. Coastline is unrivalled and the flint and brick is gorgeous. You obviously can’t beat the Cotswolds either for buildings but the landscape isn’t my favourite.

My answer would be:
buildings/architecture - Cotswolds (very unoriginal but I’m a sucker for limestone)
natural beauty - Pembrokeshire

Just hoping to hear about places I’ve never heard of.

Not wanting to offend at all. I LOVE the Pembrokeshire coastline but I’m sorry to say I found the buildings a little bit run down when I visited in Summer.

Lake District is gorgeous.

Wales is so beautiful. I love the coastline. I love the countryside. Gorgeous place to live.

Highlands of Scotland for me. The landscapes are larger and wilder than anywhere else in Britain.

North Yorkshire for countryside. York or Edinburgh - probably the latter - for city.

The Lake District and the North Yorkshire coast, both gorgeous.

North Wales. Although our castles could do with modernising. Conwy is pretty.

I like big skies + hills over pretty villages

I love East Anglia; north Essex, east Suffolk and Norfolk.

The whole of the Jurassic coastal path in Dorset.

Preferably at early sunrise in summer 😊

I live in Bath and the countryside round here is in my opinion lovely - however the other reason I do like it is it's on a good train line, reasonably close toM4 too and has lots of facilities for leisure and entertainment and for those that need to -lots of work in Bath, Bristol and Swindon -

For me personally I can't take those out the equation although I appreciate others can

Am currently in Lancashire, near Kirby Lonsdale and it is gorgeous.

Definitely Scotland, especially the western coast.

West Sussex countryside is very pretty.

North Somerset e.g around Minehead.

Yorkshire Dales - so green.

Most of Wales.

What all the buildings in Pembrokeshire OP? DH and I plan to move back there once DS goes to university.

The Hope Valley is pretty.

Scottish Highlands around Loch Ness and North Northumberland coast.

Yorkshire, Lake District and and north Northumberland.

East Suffolk.

Exmoor

I really like Liverpool.

The Lake District. And Scotland!

North Wales blew me away, it's so green and beautiful. I love the NE as well, beautiful beaches and if you include north yorkshire as well very well served by National Parks, the drive from Richmond up Swaledale is stunning. In Scotland I love Perth and Kinross (aka Big Tree Country), it's greener and prettier than the Highlands.

West coast of Scotland

North Wales. And close (ish) proximity to Liverpool, a great city.

I also liked Yorkshire.

Northumberland. Best sunsets anywhere. Gorgeous silky sand coastline - castles and stunning stately homes around every corner. Rugged crags, Kielder forest and lake - the least light pollution in Uk for stargazing. Seals and puffins. Holy Island.

This is true. Lancashire is absolutely gorgeous.
