AIBU to feel completely distressed by the viral video of the aftermath of onlyfans worker Lily P 'sleeping with' 100 men?

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 09:48

I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

"*extreme sports"
Now all I can think about is how much is her insurance premium....
Do porn actors get specialised insurance? Does it still cover extreme porn acts as this?
Like sport vs extreme sport?

Honestly, I think comparing this situation to ballet, gymnastics, or extreme sports is a false equivalence. Those activities usually involve years of training, structured oversight, safety measures, and a clear understanding of the risks and rewards. They also don’t typically result in someone crying afterward and feeling like they’ve been exploited in the manner she openly described after her first experience. Or the risk of STIs.

This isn’t about sex itself—it’s about her expressing significant emotional distress and then escalating the same behaviour. That’s not the same as someone pushing their limits in a sport they’re passionate about. Crying in pain after extreme sports isn’t the same as crying from emotional turmoil or regret of a 100 person orgy, indicating underlying mental health struggles and internal conflict.

The fact that she felt this way after 100 men but is now pursuing 1,000 raises red flags about her well-being and decision-making. It’s not about controlling her choices—it’s about recognising when someone might need support rather than cheering them on as if this is merely another “extreme activity” like ballet or “frost bite”

You’re creating your own narrative as to her feelings.

It's gross that even her Dad's friends pay for content from her. She didn't seem like a rough girl growing up with previous issues. She seemed nice and normal and a pretty girl, it is a shame. She also put herself down a lot, I felt sorry for her.

Dear fucking god. Where to start with this level of ignorance?

I think a lot of women can't imagine how some women view and experience sex. Because those women (maybe most women?) experience sex as something emotional, something vulnerable and something that would feel violating if done outside of a relationship (or at least a fully consensual, enthusiastic one night stand).
whereas in reality there are a number of women who find having sex to be something not very important at all. They don't feel violated by being 'used as a wank sock' or however pp have put it. They don't find the discomfort of having a lot of sex they didn't particularly enjoy to be any worse than the discomfort of doing a long shift in a manual job or a post gym workout or whatever.

Whether this attitude and response stems from trauma, grooming or is just a perfectly ordinary though rare response in some women can be debated. But I do think, genuinely, from watching her in that documentary, that she probably views sex in that way. Sometimes it's enjoyable, sometimes it's boring but it's just 'work' to her. I think the reason she was tearful after the 14 hour session is that she was exhausted, frustrated that it took twice as long as they planned and disappointed with some of the reactions she got from the men. I expect she thought they would be grateful or at least on her side, when some were being entitled arseholes and pushing her boundaries.

Many women on this thread want to ascribe trauma to her motivation or see it in her responses. They want to believe she's mentally ill and needs saving from herself. In reality I don't see that in her at all.

Even if she is completely emotionally detached from sex. She's still playing a dangerous game to do this so publicly.

She is destroying her reputation, and that might matter to her somewhere down the line.

I'm also not convinced that she's is emotionally detached. Although I agree she seemed more exhausted than traumatised. She doesn't seem as confident and as sure of herself as I'd have expected.

Petrasings · 12/12/2024 13:49

I am extremely concerned for her. If she was my child I would be devastated. God only knows what has happened in her life.

@Tallzaragirl "She is destroying her reputation, and that might matter to her somewhere down the line."

I would imagine that this stunt only serves to boost her reputation within the industry and among her fans.

It is striking your lack of emotional intelligence and empathy. ‘Attention seekers’ are generally children starved of love and care as small children. Ones that are this extreme will have an entire backstory we are almost certainly unaware of. She is a human being, that deserves to be cared for, even if she is struggling to make healthy choices for herself.

The men involved in this are despicable.

I mean reputation in the normal world.

She openly admits that she will never be able to get a normal job. Perhaps she won't need to.

It's unlikely that she will ever be able to be with a normal, decent man. There will be implications for any children she has in the future.

We were just discussing this point.
It is not like 20 or so years ago when porn stars had long careers. So they did have some time to make money and plans. Now it's so fast moving , she will be out of favour for someone fresher and will be obsolete on OF within a year. She will be absolutely fucked in 5 years (no pun intended) financially

You could hypothesize the same about the men. They’re human beings that deserve to be cared for, could have been children starved of love and care, and struggle to make healthy choices. Why consider solely her as a victim, rather than someone that makes choices you don’t agree with?

They are all grown adults capable of making choices for themselves.

Assuming that she cares about being with a ‘normal, decent man’ more than she cares about making the money she’s making, and growing her profile. Assuming also that she wants children, or considers any implications for any she does have to be a reason to stop.

This is no doubt true for any porn star, female or male, surely? Although some have gone on to have had careers in mainstream film anbd TV I think. I'm not sure sure why you think she will never be able to have a relationship with a "normal, decent man" though. A "normal, decent man" would be able to see that a person's past, however sordid, does not define them.

Why would a normal decent man have to see that it was her past? Double standards again. If a woman posted on here that she was going to marry a man with a sordid past she would be told to get away from him as fast as she could.

I wouldn't want my DS to marry an ex porn star.

NewBootsWeather · 12/12/2024 14:39

Also, most teenagers would be mortified if their Mum had done what she's done when she was younger.

If she’s made two million so far she won’t be if she’s sensible. She could buy 10 investment properties with her earnings and live off the rental income for life.

Sure but most normal decent men wouldn’t want someone who filmed themselves getting double penetrated and pissed on. She will be able to find a man, I’m sure, but probably not a very decent one.

I wouldn’t touch a man who had worked in the sex industry with a barge pole. Maybe some would. Sorry not sorry.

And yeah any kids would be mortified and traumatised but she seems to hugely lack empathy anyway so I’m not sure she’d be a good parent.

Oh give me strength, do you say the same for all human beings that do bloody stupid things.Do all human beings deserve to be cared for no matter how pathetic their actions are?

Next you will be telling us we should hug Putin or give Gregg Wallis a free meal and a bed for the night.

Why are the men involved in this are despicable and she is not? She asked them to do this they were both consenting adults even if its grubby as hell.

Your the type of person that is the problem in this country at the moment,no one should be responsible for their actions 🙄.

Your posts say everything about the kind of person you are. You have disregarded the wider culture, the insidious nature of porn and how dehumanising it is and I suspect you are a man, to be so lacking in empathy for a fellow woman. But on the off chance you are just heartless I do hope you are not the mother of girls. Your lack of awareness and general black and white thinking is not conducive with understanding the layers and complexity of young people.
