DH wouldn't dance to our special song

Last night, at a bday party, our special song comes on. We are standing in a group, I look at DH with my most alluring face, say "our special song, let's dance", but he didn't respond. It was humiliating.

Has anyone else ever experienced such rejection and what do you think should do now?

Perhaps it was "I Touch Myself".

Was it The thong song?

Does he usually dance in public? If not, he was probably embarrassed by the idea.

If he does normally dance, then announcing that the track was your special song might have embarrassed him - he probably thinks of that as a private thing between the 2 of you.

I think I would get an ick if my husband of 20 years wanted to dance 🙄

Don't worry. As others have said, it sounds like you were drunk and he didn't want to do something embarrassing - I'd put on a pouting face and tell him how embarrassed you are x

After 25 years of marriage we dance in the kitchen all the time.

I got rejected like this once, but I only used my second most alluring face, so figured that was why.
