Nikita had such terrible bruising, a paramedic hasn't seen such extensive bruising, she had to have a tampon removed from her cervix, she's had her house/car attacked, mum threatened, intruders broke into her home and tried to stab her bf/ threatening her and her bf he tried to pay her off in 2019 for a million, she said no I want justice.

Woman wins civil rape case against Conor McGregor

A civil action was taken by Nikita Hand who had accused McGregor of raping her in a Dublin hotel in 2018.

His wife I believe!

Dee is his long term partner and mother of his children. They are not married.

mrstumbler · 22/11/2024 19:18

Ok - I’ll be corrected he was not criminally convicted of rape.

And lots of people don’t watch films he is in so still not “amazing”.

Great that you’re such a fan.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 22/11/2024 19:18

Ahhh yes that Oscar worthy performance (playing himself really ) in Roadhouse. Basically Robert De Niro in Raging Bull Confused

Violent rapist/a character - same thing, right?

What? Sentenced to what? It was a civil case, not a criminal case. He has been found liable and has to pay her (unless he wins his appeal).

She basically sued him, and the jury found that he more than likely did it. It is a different level of proof needed for a civil case and there won’t be any repercussions beyond being made to pay her £200k.

Wth? What is the point of the trial then?! Terrible 😢

Idontgiveashitanymore · 22/11/2024 19:19

I had to Google what UFC stands for.
Lots of people will never have heard of it, or him. I rather wish I hadn’t, but I did click on the thread, so…

He is an insignificant piece of shit. How would anyone who does not follow UFC have heard of him. ?

Are you suggestion the victim threw herself at him and thus deserved to be raped?

WinterUnder · 22/11/2024 19:02

Disgusting man. And that partner of his walking around with him, just as disgusting. She has a daughter but you would think she won some prize. Poor woman who went through so much, he should have received a custodial sentence too.

She isn't as bad as him - she might be deluded or something else but she's not a rapist ffs.

Your post is really misogynistic- shall we focus on the actual perpetrator?

Don’t be so bloody petty

BarbaraHoward · 22/11/2024 19:24

She's so brave to have taken this case. Her family and friends must be so proud of her, and I hope she's very proud of herself.

Unfortunately we all know the conviction rates for sexual assault and rape, but good for her for going down the civil route.

Mittens67 · 22/11/2024 19:24

If I believed in such things I would say that men like this deserve a special hell of their own and right next door to it another hell for the stupid women who collude and excuse them

CatalinaLoo · 22/11/2024 19:25

KarlaKK · 22/11/2024 19:01

Disgusting person. I've read he has to pay Nikita compensation but does anyone know why he won't be considered for a custodial sentence?

Because it is a civil case, not a criminal one. She brought an action against him ie she sued him. So she gets damages. In a criminal case, the Crown prosecutes someone and if they are found guilty they are sentenced. That isn’t possible with a civil case.

researchers3 · 22/11/2024 19:26

How do you go about a civil case then?

And do we know if the CPS threw this case out?

BarbaraHoward · 22/11/2024 19:26

ShabbaRankz · 22/11/2024 19:19

The same thing happened with OJ Simpson didn't it? Acquitted in the criminal case (granted McGregor wasn't even charged) but the civil case went the other way.

BarbaraHoward · 22/11/2024 19:26

I don't think the Crown were going to be prosecuting anyone in this case regardless!

CatalinaLoo · 22/11/2024 19:27

ShabbaRankz · 22/11/2024 19:19

It wasn’t a trial. It was a court case. She sued him. The state didn’t prosecute him. There’s a difference. It’s not real justice but at least it’s something.

GingerBeverage · 22/11/2024 19:27

The only thing I’m surprised about is that he hasn’t killed a woman yet. The desire to do so radiates from him.

Perhaps it’s just he hasn’t been caught.

The court case was through the Irish courts. The DPP did not pursue a criminal conviction and shame on them, The victim pursued her claim through a civil action.
