To say she simply cannot be turning 40?!

I'm a big fan of Gemma Atkinson. Always had her down as a young mum. Yet i just read she is turning 40 tomorrow!!!

I don't think anyone looks more than 6-8 years younger than their real age (when you look properly!) Well hardly anyone! But I am shocked at this. On every photo I looked at on Google, Gemma looks about 28-31. Doesn't look close to 40. She's very pretty too.

Same with Nikki Sanderson, Tina O'Brien, Holly Willoughby... Just a few examples of women around 40 who look a clear 10-12 years younger IMO. They're all pretty, and 'natural looking' too. Wonder if that helps...? 🤔

She looks fab and definitely looks after herself in terms of fitness but I do think most aging is genetic tbh. My mum has always looked young and constantly tells me its down to all the lotions and potions she uses. But I use aldi moisturiser and wash with water and people often mis-age me by 10 years (im 41). Healthy diet and exercise helps for sure... I think if you have chubby sort of cheeks when you're young (I did!) you will probably look fairly young as you get older!

I was thinking to myself 'there's no way she was on Strictly' then realised I was mistaking Gemma Atkinson for Gemma Arterton.

40 is young! She looks great and doesn’t look her age, but then neither did I at 40! I looked at least 5 years younger than my age until I hit 47 and now look every single year of my 49 years! But the older I get, the less I care!

I keep thinking of Taylor swift as a teenager, mad how we just pick an age for people!!

She looks amazing. She trains hard for the body she has, but her message is really about being healthy rather than thin and has talked about getting back into shape after pregnancy. She posts plenty of normal pictures without make up in her scruffs.

Yes, I was shocked at Tina O' Brien and Nikki Sanderson as well. They both look in their twenties !

Tina O'Brien has one of those small heart shaped faces and big eyes. Those people always look youthful.

I remember her gracing the cover of Loaded back in the day, so it doesn’t surprise me. I mean she was very beautiful at 21 though, so it’s not a surprise she looks very beautiful at 39.

She looks fantastic but since I remember her in Hollyoaks a quarter century ago, I'm not surprised she's hitting 40.

Well she certainly looks younger - early to mid 30s easily. She's got a nice natural look about her and she's definitely ascribed to the 'less is more' look for the botox she has had done.

Never heard of her. Googling, she looks her age. Has she had fillers and other procedures though?

Same here. Haven't really followed her career since then but I remember she went out with Rolando for a while and she is on one of the Bauer radio stations as she often does the Make Me A Winner comp.

Don't worry, this won't happen when you're 50 plus. Age levels the playing field unfortunately!! Looking young at 40 is easy. Skincare makes no difference. Looking young at 50 plus is impossible. Everyone 50 and onwards looks their age.

She's had upper eyelid surgery, botox, breast implants and her teeth done. Possibly a tiny bit of lip filler too. Very naturally attractive though. Pictures of her when she was younger show that she was a very pretty girl.

Given how long I remember her being around since Lisa in Hollyoaks the fact she is 5 years younger than me is a shock - on the other hand the six year age gap between her and Gorka is also a shock
