I'm really concerned about how far things have swung not just in the US but globally.
People are concerned about immigration? Ok, but there's a difference between people being concerned about immigration and people trying to set fire to buildings containing innocent people, open racism, and people referring to other people and other countries as "garbage".
People are concerned about the economy? Ok, so why vote for candidates who made many people substantially worse off, have relied on family wealth to bail them out, have been convicted of crimes linked with business practices, etc.?
People are concerned about foreign policy? Ok, but why do some people then vote for a party or candidate that has been actively prejudiced against and harmful to groups/nationalities/faiths to which they belong?
People are concerned about women's rights and the safety of their daughters? Then why vote for candidates with histories of sexual misconduct or even sexual assault, who promise to roll back women's rights even further?
People are concerned about healthcare? Well, votes for people who advocate for the removal of key elements of public and individual health such as reproductive healthcare and vaccination programmes seem somewhat counterintuitive... And drinking or otherwise ingesting bleach remains a terrible idea.
People are concerned about democracy and justice? Ok, then why vote for convicted criminals, people who actively undermine democratic principles, and people who take a 'might equals right' approach?
