To want the fireworks to stop now?

They started here at about 2pm (yes, really!) and haven't stopped since. My cats are hiding and won't eat. I have a thumping headache from the noise and just want some quiet for a bit. They started at the same time yesterday and didn't stop until 11pm ISH.

We had more fireworks here tonight. Fuck's sake.

I will say that I think it’s weird to have fireworks on or past Remembrance Sunday.

Yes my heart sank yesterday evening when I heard more fireworks going off (the cat had just gone out).
Would have thought Remembrance Sunday would have been a safe day for no fireworks but not it seems.

1:30am near to my mother in law's last night, apparently. 3rd time in a week that some prick has disturbed the peace in the early hours of the morning. I've signed the petition, however, when the existing laws are not enforced currently, I struggle to see how anything will ever change.

What I don't understand, having lived in a few other countries, why it is different in the UK? The Spanish, for example, LOVE fireworks, but you don't get the random antisocial, aggressive use of them.
