I saw a smaller house than that today for £3.5m. There’s also another one near me that not much bigger space wise but has a huge garden and that’s on for £10m. So I would think somewhere in the middle.

NW London.

Why so adamantly against larne?

Personally I find it a bit depressing as a town but of course if I’d been brought up around there etc I’m sure I might feel differently.

Dobbyismyabsolutefav · 26/10/2024 22:49

£1.5m+ in the South East

Tangled123 · 26/10/2024 22:50

Even for NI, £340k for that house is quite cheap. We bought ours 4 years ago, but smaller 3 bedroom houses in the country near me were going for £350k ish then, so I would have thought the one OP posted would be closer to £500k now. Obviously not.

DutchCowgirl · 26/10/2024 22:50

I think 1.5M/2M euros but depending on how big the garden is. In a larger city in the west of the Netherlands.

AgileGreenSeal · 26/10/2024 22:37

No offence to Larne but that makes sense now.
I couldn’t live there. Just couldn’t.
on up the coast road would be lovely though.

It’s about two miles out of larne on the coast road

Our town about £1m but move it to Bristol probably nearer £1.6 m

That’s definitely do-able 👍

ThatTealViewer · 26/10/2024 23:02

£1.4m to £2.3m. I just did a search on Rightmove.

It looks lovely but I could never live in N Ireland, it's been absolutely decimated by Brexit and the historical and current political issues and violence are still scary. We went to one part where kids threw rocks at the taxi, taxi driver was off his head on something saying god knows what, certain pubs we couldn't go to, all the other people we talked to were subdued and wanted to complain about the state of it all. It's a shame because the views in the more rural areas were stunning. It's been used and abused by both Ireland and England.

Great 😀 One less English person moving over putting house prices up!

Hunglikeapolevaulter · 26/10/2024 23:08

About 500/600K maybe?

ladygindiva · 26/10/2024 23:10

900-950k , desirable part of Cornwall

Carnationstreet7 · 26/10/2024 23:13

About 2.5m here

Bazinga007 · 26/10/2024 23:13

Probably 5 million. Hertfordshire, just inside the M25, 20 minutes on the train to St Pancras.

Opentooffers · 26/10/2024 23:21

Crazy cheap, I'd be miffed to miss out in your shoes. Hope you find another as good soon.

Blinky21 · 26/10/2024 23:22

About 1.5 to 2 million, Birmingham

username1478 · 26/10/2024 23:34

I could not find a similar house in my area so searched the whole of London. It was 8-25m.

Objectrelations · 26/10/2024 23:35

1.75-2M in Jersey

MissyPants · 26/10/2024 23:38

At a guess I'd say around 400k West Yorkshire

ThinWomansBrain · 26/10/2024 23:40

Central London - dethatched houses with sweeping drives and large gardens don't exist.

LoobyDoop2 · 26/10/2024 23:44

My guess would be north of 1.5m. Possibly quite a bit more, though. Plots that size are unusual here even for 5 bedroom detached houses. South Manchester.

frenchfancy81 · 26/10/2024 23:44

At least 2 million

Auburngal · 26/10/2024 23:59

Don't have any 5 bed 3 bathroom properties for sale in the town where I live. A few state 3 bathrooms but the 3rd one is actually the downstairs loo!

£370k-460k

Leicestershire

RM2013 · 27/10/2024 00:54

Depends on sq ft and actual location and facilities - some houses and locations will be more desirable than others. A 5 bed house locally would be anything from £500k to well over £1m depending on the size, location and size of the plot/land
