I've listened to him at length and he really isn't. He is clever and understands how to present as 'reasonable' to those who are not particularly bright and don't bother to fact check. He is also a skilled manipulator who knows your triggers.

I must confess to be a little confused at how refusing to give the pin for your phone gets you charged under the terrorism act. How exactly is not providing your mobile phone pin an act of terrorism? If the police asked for the pin of my phone and I say no, will i also be detained under the terrorism act? As opposed to obstructing the police like?

I imagine it's because with people like Farage, Robinson and other far right influencers, the Overton window has shifted and people think everyone thinks this way.

People tend to receive lots of similar posts on social media which creates an echo chamber. Some of the stuff I've heard on a parenting forum (of all places) has been shocking.

I absolutely despise Tommy Robinson, Laurence Fox and all that crowd. And I do listen to what they say. That's why I despise them.
I'd love Tommy to get what he deserves but I do fear him being seen as more of a martyr than he already is. Can't help feeling he handed himself in on the eve of his big demo to rile up his supporters tomorrow.

According to the Yougov poll, around 34% of the population supported the racist riots. Not the violence but the reasons for them. These people are still a minority but a bloody big minority. This racist rhetoric that has become so normalised is like a poisin in our society. It's very dangerous.

There is always a marked difference on these things between what people say and votes cast. Anonymity frees people to say what they really think.
