Should I shag the 25 year old

NotmyrealNC · 21/10/2024 22:39

NC for obvious reasons.

Long story short, I'm 6 months out of an abusive marriage. Not in any way ready to date or for a relationship, I'm still far too hurt to even contemplate that. But I do miss sex.

Last week, a guy randomly approached me and gave me his number. We've chatted a bit, it turns out he's 10 years younger than me. From his messages, I get the impression he's only after one thing.

I'm really, really tempted. I could really do with a good shag. But I'm also worried it could go horribly wrong and leave me feeling terrible. So, please help me decide. WIBU to shag the 25 year old?!

Having a younger man can be an entertaining diversion but as a one-nighter he won't know your preferences and might not care about that too much. He might be a two-second-Tommy or a dusk to dawn guy. Something that surprised me was how boring young men can be. You won't know unless you try.

At the risk of outing myself, I was sitting outside a café with my mum. He works there. He had apparently noticed me coming in for a while.

Am slightly concerned about losing a decent coffee shop if it goes tits up!

You also might not. Its possible to casually shag and still see each other in passing without animosity or ambiguity

Another vote for the shag 👍

😂

And another vote

MarvellousMonsters · 22/10/2024 20:05

Yes. Absolutely yes. But some condoms and get on him, you deserve it. Keep it light, keep it honest, no big deep stuff. Enjoy yourselves.

Politely, please do one 🙂

Politely, no, I'll continue to challenge posters who are just unpleasant for the sake of it, as you have been.

You never challenged me, you made a very unpleasant (the irony of the moral high ground, eh) comment that would've been deleted if I'd cared enough to report it. You don't get to decide if someone is 'typing shit' ftr.
The guy in the OP has made clear he is (to quote the OP) only after one thing, and he's approached a stranger unprompted (she wasn't on a hook up site! She was having coffee with her Mother) on the sniff.
Being asked for sex and being asked out on a date are two entirely different things. I'd be insulted to be viewed (by a random stranger taking my order in a caf) as only worthy of the former. The guy sounds like an absolute creep.

Guavafish1 · 22/10/2024 20:08

Yes

but id never see them again

I called your comment spiteful. Which it was. It was an ugly thing to say to someone. No idea why that would have been deleted.

Edited to say, I've gone back and checked and none of my comments have been deleted so you appear to be confusing me with someone else as well.

I read your post out to my husband… we both say Do it! Do it! Do it!!! All part of the healing process!

Is calling someone’s comment spiteful considered a personal attack now?! 😂

I left my abusive ex a few years ago and did exactly this. But I went in with eyes open and it really was just about scratching an itch (for me, and fulfilling a fantasy for him. I ticked off two because of my hair colour too apparently)

It was good fun and we still speak from time to time, but there were never any deeper feelings involved.

I think if I'd had any doubts it would have been a very bad idea though so be sure you know what you want if you do go for it op, and be sure you are both on the same page from the outset

Pearl97 · 22/10/2024 20:28

I say go for it too. You’re in control.
the coffee shop was the most worrying part for me. I wouldn’t want to not be able to go again - but I still think it’s worth the risk!
your mum might wonder why you’re very keen to take her for coffee daily - or why you can’t ever face going again!
it’s your decision but it looks like most of us are with you all the way … literally!

enjoy x

Hunglikeapolevaulter · 22/10/2024 20:29

@TossedSaladandSE off topic but I love your username. I too am a fan...

SassK · 22/10/2024 20:29

No, you called ME spiteful (and told me I was 'typing shit' - which is why it would've been deleted).

There's a massive amount of romaticised spin being put on the encounter by some posters.
A random/unknown to me waiter brassing up to me looking for a no strings shag would probably be one of the most insulting encounters of my life.
Sorry to burst your 50 shades bubble, but a guy who does that doesn't view his target as anything of a catch.

You said you found your friends teenage sons sexually attractive before so why is it now ridiculous

Because I’m an old lady.

ElizaJ74 · 22/10/2024 20:29

Go for it!

Please update what happens!! Now get shagging!!

ohreallythatisveryinteresting · 22/10/2024 20:33

Go for it ! Why wouldn’t you ?

Differentstarts · 22/10/2024 20:33

BIossomtoes · 22/10/2024 20:29

So you agree the older you get the less sexually attractive young people get

At my age nobody’s sexually attractive. 😂
