Why is this relevant to the LGB Alliance? The relevance is the high proportion of same sex attracted children who are registered with the gender clinics. Many LGB people have expressed concern at this and the lack of evidence based treatments.

There are multiple threads discussing the lack of consideration for women and girls (and men) regarding the national (global) installation of gender neutral toilets in public spaces.

That is just ONE example of trans issues not being considered right?

Strangely, I have established from the responses of certain posters on this thread that EVERYTHING is counted as transphobia yet NOTHING can be described as homophobia.

Despite the fact that one group was meeting to discuss the protection of their own fundamental rights whilst literally being the target of an attack by another who are making lots of noise online which quiet literally involves encouraging breaking the rules of law and sounding really rather like they meet the government's definition of extremist.

The cognitive dissonance going on here is spectacular.

The other thing is that every time women want to talk about women and women's issues, it's got to the point where we can't without having to include a man.

This includes women's experiences as rape victims or breast feeding.

If you set up a group relating to women's issues of any kind, it's like a magnet to males who want validation. Or just to kick off and get the group closed down.

It was just before Jamie Reed was due to speak that the crickets were released. Jamie is a lesbian, who bravely and at personal risk raised the alarm that children with gender distress were not being well treated by the medical professionals in the clinic she worked.

The lazy and uninformed position that she was and is transphobic is laughable considering she is married to Tiger, a female person who at the time had been living as a person with a transgender identity for 15 years. And I believe had been taking testosterone for that long.

Yet, this group didn’t want Jamie to speak. They wanted her silenced.

And there are people on this thread who are trying to claim that this was not a homophobic attack.

Yet Jamie is a lesbian with important information to discuss about the large proportion of same sex attracted children who were not receiving even adequate care.

And it was her this group sought to silence.

Why were these teenaged activists outside with a convicted attempted murderer, kidnapper and torturer who cut off their own testicles while in prison, and who recently incited violence against women who disagree with Baker’s opinions? Including just how willing people are to call others and groups ‘transphobic’ and ‘anti-trans’ based on simply those being accused disagreeing that a male, who has a belief that they are female, is a female or should be treated as a female.

That a group can be considered transphobic because they reject other’s redefining the language they use to describe themselves. It seems like just one paragraph rejecting this redefinition was what some posters relied on. While those posters rejected that this group LGB Alliance has a right to feel that this redefinition is an act of homophobia. Just as you say.

And then the weak attempt to discredit them based on that ridiculous claim that they have mostly all heterosexual supporters. A falsehood that continues to be used. And the hypocrisy of it all is that Stonewall donations are never evaluated in this way. Yet how many people who are heterosexual have given money to Stonewall? It was always a weak argument, just like the argument that they are a hate group, and transphobic.

The hypocrisy in the denials that this conference was targeted in a homophobic attack is stark.

And the distraction tactics have been endless.

Trying to distract readers from seeing just how authoritarian the demands are that society change language to suit one group’s philosophical belief. Particularly when a group is demanding that change in definitions for sexual orientation.

But also apparently, people are disrespectful for rejecting demands to use language such as pronouns based on someone’s philosophical belief and not on material reality. Then we saw the gaslighting that female single sex spaces such as toilets somehow were for ‘women’ not female people.

And the distractions just kept coming and some got very weird.
