Survey at work using the term cis woman

So I filled all the survey, very happy at work, public secror.
Note that this survey is outsourced by another survey organisation.

Then I come to the last bit please describe your role in the organisation, did that, and then how would you describe your sex or gender?

( Can’t remember exactly how the question was phrased )but the only option for women was “cis woman.”

Quite cross about this and I’m not sure how to best articulate this to my managers who, to be fair never use this term and will not have had any input to designing the survey. Any input welcome.

Frankly if there isn't a 'woman' box to tick, leave it all blank. I've had to do that before at my GP surgery and no-one bothered to question it.

Oh and it's SUCH a gift to cross dressing men who get a sexual kick out of involving their wives/ the general public in their fetish.

Empowering for who? Being trans is fine, what isn't fine is the rights of women and girls being eroded for the sake of men.
Yes lets have clarity shall we, if you are born a man you are a man til you die, if you are born a woman you die a woman, whatever you identify as between birth and death is irrelevant you are still biologically a man or a woman.

I have no decent response to the OP - I usually tick other then add a rant about what nonsense it is. When explaining to those who don't understand my explanation is that CIS is offensive but means REAL, and TRANS means FAKE. That explains it in a nice straightforward way.

I don't think anyone has objected to their being a trans box. What is being objected to is there not being a box for those of us who do not have a gender identity.

Possible questions that would be more reasonable:

What was your sex at birth?

Do you have a gender identity? y/n

If yes, are you:
Non binary
Cis
Trans
Other

Simple. It covers everyone.

But for the results to be a truly accurate and complete reflection of the group of people responding, you would need to have categories for both biological or birth sex and for gender identity.

And one of the options under gender identity would need to be "I don't believe in this bollocks in the first place"

But you are born male or female that is a fact, do NOT tell me how I think, I don't care what people identify as I have 2 transwomen in my extended family it doesn't bother me unless they start infringing mine and other womens rights. If that happens then I will speak up and say no. All my family are aware of my views and they respect my right to voice them.
