I’ve been seeing a lot of online content about the Illuminati lately.
Does anyone have any first hand accounts of their existence?
So many conspiracies these days, it’s hard to know what to believe.

Yes I believe there was a secret society who ran everything in the world, including the newspapers, they used to meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows.

It was the Queen, the Vatican, the Gettys, the Rothschilds, and Colonel Sanders before he went tits up.

I don’t know if it’s that simple but power resides in networks so if you’re rich and influential you will be moving in circles with similar people, sitting on various boards, chatting with your other powerful mates at the club in London etc…that’s how I imagine it anyway!

I have a close friend whose grandfather is part of the illuminati. He is very wealthy and never gave us any information.

He has many hidden files in the basement that we tried to access when we were younger. They were securely locked away in chests and we never got anywhere.

I thought a lot about it as a teenager but not in the last 15 years or so.

Like most conspiracy theories, it's rooted in antisemitism.

I know that many people believe that when the anti-Christ comes back, that he will mimick Jesus and also be of Jewish origin.

The illuminati was created to remove the religious influence from power. It was meant to be a secret society as well, hence why it is quite secretive.

The Illuminati of Dan Brown novels c.20 years ago? Fantasy based in exaggerated mythology of religious orders that may or may not have existed a long time ago.

The Masons? They exist. They have a massive stone headquarters in London that has a slightly Soviet grandiosity to it. I know almost nothing about them beyond what Tolstoy wrote and the fact that they claim descent from the people who built the Temple in Jerusalem, but actually seem to be a more recent creation.

The Knights Templar? A medieval organisation that was originally created to guide pilgrims to the Holy Land, it became too powerful for its own good and was therefore got on the wrong side of Kings and the Pope, so they were eventually all arrested and the group disbanded.

The most unbelievable part of any of this is that, given the experience of all mankind, anyone could think that there is a group of people with enough intelligence and organisational skill to A) run anything effectively and B) come to a concensus on what effectively means.

Even if they could do it the first thing they'd want to do is show off about it and tell everyone.....so we'd know about it.

Well I do think that some people are possessed. Many will speak about narcissists eyes going black when they rage. Maybe there is a scientific explanation but it does seem common.
