Mine is set to come on 6am-9pm if drops below 18 degrees. Last week it came on an average of 1-2hrs a day (Midlands)
I have it set to 14 at night, so not cold enough to come on yet during the wee small hours and rarely does even in Winter.
Anyone else had theirs on or am I mad and it's way too early? I have an underactive thyroid and feel the 🥶 so 16-17 is just too cold for me if drops that low.

I am on the Kent coast and today I have the windows and door to the garden open and no heating on.

But I did turn the heating on for a few hours two days ago to warm up the house as it was a really windy (I live by the sea so we get really strong winds), cold rainy day and it dropped to 16 inside.

I never have the heating on at night, even in the winter, but I make sure I keep my old house heated and ventilated properly as I don't want frozen pipes or mould!
