How on earth are we allowing porn like this to access

Puttheneedleontherackets · 30/09/2024 18:10

Surely aggressive and violent porn and all the other filth must be affecting people? I worry so much about what children get to see. Surely it must have an effect on men, it’s just so shocking the things that are out there.
We never had access to this before, just some magazines, Page 3, a few videos…what’s available now surely must have a psychological affect on people

Agree it's fucking up our brains and especially kids. Billie eilish has talked about this recently

I am middleaged and we were able to watch zoophilia, beheadings and rape including knife cuts when we were 11.
All of us are married with normql sex lives

Where on earth could you access that and what is a normal sex life?

Don't be bloody ridiculous. I'm an intelligent adult woman in her fifties who doesn't like being told what she can and can't watch by self righteous numpties.

Go ahead and check my other posts, and then maybe answer me?

OonaStubbs · 05/10/2024 20:52

I would ban torture films as well as porn. They both appeal to the sick side of society.

Fully agree on the torture films. Anyone watching Saw franchise is more messed up that a few men beating off over a gang bang scene.

Internet.
It was not restricted 20 years ago. Basically anything was available. You can look up Rotten etc.

I wrote normal as vanila. Like everyday things people would never find shocking, no hc fetishes, torture, degradation etc.
In term of frequency too, few times a week, dropping to once in 10 days during much stress. Twice a day is rare but obviously wellcomed. No shocks

Is there a crown? Do I get a cookie?

Puttheneedleontherackets · 05/10/2024 21:49

@SocksAndTheCity So you believe what you want to watch for your own kicks trumps the damage it could be doing to society, to women, to kids?

Bit selfish

Eh Saw isn't porn and is an amazing psychological thriller film. I have yet to go on to murder anyone in a creative way. It's a film not a snuff film.

If it's not for you fair enough but leave us our entertainment. Honestly someone always has to go too far.

And you're entitled to your opinion. I don't like or watch soap operas or reality TV, but I'm not so arrogant I would seek to police other adults' viewing habits so they can only watch things I approve of?

I realise that other people enjoy different things to me and can make their own decisions, and those decisions are none of my business. Again, what do you think gives you the right to tell me what I can and can't watch?

OonaStubbs · 01/10/2024 23:56

Sorry but while I agree that it is a parents job to parent their child, I do not think that hardcore porn is suitable for anyone to watch, regardless of their age. It needs to be shut down, worldwide.

You do know that hardcore porn is just porn with penetration, right? So because you're uptight about sex it has to be banned worldwide? Good luck with that.

Exactly this, thank you. This thread is so 1984. Yes, let's just ban and censor everything, what could go wrong?

Childfreecatlady · 06/10/2024 00:31

Huntcole · 05/10/2024 20:34

Its a good point about horror films. They're arguably worse than porn in what they depict, altough porn is "real"

So don't watch them, simple. You don't get to police what other people watch just like I don't get to say " hey, why don't we ban shit like keeping up with the Kardashians or love island which just glorify talentless, stupid women."

Once you decide to start banning things it's a slippery slope.

OonaStubbs · 06/10/2024 00:35

But we already do ban things.

ATenShun · 06/10/2024 01:48

I watched Game of Thrones and it was truly horrific. What with the sex, violence and dragons. Something should be done. 😂

I notice you said you hadn't murdered someone creatively. Does this mean you might have done it in a boring manner.😁

ATenShun · 06/10/2024 01:59

With regard to horror films, the one that stood out as the goriest to me, was the updated version of 'I spit on your grave'. Which as some of you know is about a woman carrying out violent revenge on men that carried out a sex attack on her.

I think I can safely say that throughout the film, the majority of viewers would be rooting for the heroine and cheering on the pain and suffering of the men. How does a film like this sit with those asking for censorship.

SocksAndTheCity · 06/10/2024 09:00

@SocksAndTheCity So you believe what you want to watch for your own kicks trumps the damage it could be doing to society, to women, to kids?

I've no particular interest in watching porn which is why I'm concentrating on horror, a genre that has likewise been subject to the Ban This Sick Filth! type headlines for many decades, and blamed for all sorts of shenanigans including murders by lazy, narrow minded people looking for an easy target. I do not accept that adults should be punished or have their choices limited because some people can't be bothered to supervise their children properly.

But regarding porn, you seem unable to grasp that women who make choices or behave in ways that you would not feel differently to you, so they must be either doing so under duress (and have no agency to decide with whom they have sex and why), or are just plain sick and depraved (and this from somebody who apparently thinks a bit of anal sex is pushing the envelope).

I'm not really following the logic. Does this 'think the same as me or you're stupid and wrong' approach work well for you in day to day life?

Puttheneedleontherackets · 06/10/2024 10:14

@SocksAndTheCity You are deliberately ignoring what the majority of us are saying, as is @ATenShun how odd. Again, we’re not talking about children as we’ve now discussed that. I also didn’t say anal sex is pushing the envelope??? It’s def not for me. We’re talking about the vile language, violent sex and disturbing videos which can even be seen on the adverts front page of porn sites. We’re also not saying just some women might want to indulge, we’re talking about a vast many being coerced, trafficked etc etc. If horror films were to include some of the videos on pornhub, they likely would be banned.
You are either deliberately on the wind up or not too bright as you’re not addressing all we are saying, you’re almost most definitely a man also, fellow women would not think like this and would understand the concern completely.

OP posts:
Puttheneedleontherackets · 06/10/2024 10:16

And I most definitely did not say women who indulge in these things are sick, more likely they r been forced or were sadly abused and so on
Stop trying to ignore it all, just so you feel better about wanking off to vile things

all of us women on the thread who actually see how harmful and degrading porn is should just stop interacting with this dude, he’s probably got some niche fetish about women on online forums 🙄

This. Stop responding. He's not arguing in good faith, seems unable to view Google and seems to think most porn is harmless and not violent to women.

We need to stop giving him what he wants, engagement.

ATenShun · 06/10/2024 17:43

@Puttheneedleontherackets Let me ask you. What do you consider vile language or violent sex? Do you believe women shouldn't have autonomy over their own bodies and cannot make the decision if they want to appear in videos containing 'rough sex'? What proof do you have that they were coerced into it by threats?
