How on earth are we allowing porn like this to access

Puttheneedleontherackets · 30/09/2024 18:10

Surely aggressive and violent porn and all the other filth must be affecting people? I worry so much about what children get to see. Surely it must have an effect on men, it’s just so shocking the things that are out there.
We never had access to this before, just some magazines, Page 3, a few videos…what’s available now surely must have a psychological affect on people

Can Atenshun be banned please? They are clearly a man and clearly pro-porn and anti-women.

In fact let me just call you out on your contradictory posts.

On the subject of porn in another thread.
OonaStubbs · 23/09/2024 20:49

They need to start handing out long prison sentences, both for men that use prostitutes and the prostitutes themselves. Onlyfans and other similar websites have made it far too easy.

On the subject of would you have sex missionary position if offered money.
OonaStubbs · 19/09/2024 01:37
I don't really understand why anyone wouldn't do it unless they are already rich.

Isn't having sex for money...well...prostitution. 😂

Puttheneedleontherackets · 03/10/2024 21:20

@ATenShun A tiny percentage??! 😂 ok 👍 Look on the first page of a well known porn site, it’s vile, it’s all about that, not a tiny percentage.
Also, I find it unlikely that a previous partner of yours just loved being ejaculated all over all the time. Everything you say just fits to make you feel better about your using porn and that it’s all ok and all the women love it and want to do it, it’s bullshit.

Why not use the PP Fluufer suggestion and look at the year review for 2023 on PornHub. Where you will find that the extreme content you describe is actually far less searched for than other genres. Or how about as stated earlier, Women are far more likely to search for 'rough sex' than men. Again from the very source your supporters gave.

As for what myself and partners have enjoyed, Both anal and ejaculation were at the females suggestiion. My current partner doesn't like being ejaculated on, and guess what. We don't do it.

You're definition of "extreme content" evidently differs from that of most women. If you're not interested in engaging, kindly fuck off back to pornhub. There's plenty of other places you can assert your male opinion.

Why are you the only person on this thread who has needed to detail, multiple times, their personal sex life?

Do tell what is extreme in lesbian content, milf content, indian content? The top three search items in the UK from the very place you told me to research.

While your at it. Could you also kindly explain why the terms 'Rough Sex' & Bondage are searched by Women by a third more than it is by Men. 😆

And how many women are viewing porn in the first place? For how long? How often vs men?
Anything but acknowledge it's a male problem eh?

You really should be using that reference site you told me to use earlier. In the UK it is 29% women and 71% men. Not really just a man thing is it. This really is't going the way you thought! 😅

at least removed from this thread for consistent derailing

I note he's now dominating the thread and other posters are going silent

so very male, so very typical

and Sir, I'm done engaging with you, you are an idiot and you consistently lie

Puttheneedleontherackets · 04/10/2024 09:46

@Surf2Live Yes, it’s putting me off engaging as he clearly isn’t getting it or is doing a wind up. It was an interesting discussion initially.

@Fluufer That’s what I didn’t get? The percentage for men is clearly much higher 🤷🏻‍♀️

You do realise that the actors in the porn films are not actually plumber and helpless housewife etc. Censorship is censorship, if we were to start censoring legal content, it leaves the door open to anyone claiming all sorts offed them and shouldn't exist.

@theresabluebirdinmyheart
I'm not boasting. As I say it was something I could take or leave. Personally preferred vaginal.

Now you may only want as example missionary position with the lights off and only on high days and holidays. That is entirely up to you. It doesn't mean that another woman who loves to be in a rope swing is wrong either.

@HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend
What your post has just shown it is not necessarily adult sites that are the issue. Social media and children having unsupervised access to it and the net is the problem on both occasions. Having dumb phones & the laptop in the family room where what they are looking at can be viewed by parents would stop it right away. Unlikely to send a nude when Mum is watching Coronation Street right behind you.

If only the world is as simple as this, unfortunately back in the real world it is not, school, after school activities, is where the grooming was mostly taken place, however I didn’t ask for your opinion.

I was answering another’s posters question that children indeed have access to the black web.

i won’t be further engaging with you, your opinion are neither welcome nor wanted.

candlewhickgreen · 04/10/2024 11:09

I found a Yougov report which shows just 2% of women look at porn with any frequency:

A vanishingly small percentage of women of all age groups (2% or fewer) watch porn with this degree of frequency.

You may not want my opinion, but as it is a public forum I will give it anyway. Only discussing in an echo chamber with those who agree with you make you look unreasonable.

Dumb Phones. Give the kids dumb phones. Limit their access to the internet. If they are accessing inappropriate material while at school or clubs. These places need investigating. If it is in person grooming, shutting down porn sites will not stop this happening.

@Fluufer I understand percentages well. The site you chose to show the disparity does not support your claim it is a male only thing. If 30% of the consumers are Women, it is clearly far more than the odd one.

@candlewhickgreen Perhaps it would be an idea to use the figures as a whole that is shown in your link. It is not just 2% of Women that look at it. It is 2% of the over 60's. Use the under 30's as the demographic and it rises to 35%.

Nobody has ever argued that men view more than women. I don't think that would surprise anyone. But at least have the courtesy not to skew the facts by only picking out the information you want to see.

candlewhickgreen · 04/10/2024 18:03

@ATenShun

You didn't read the information correctly.

Likewise, men are more likely to be frequent watchers of porn. A quarter of men under 30 (25%) watch porn every day or most days, with 13-14% of men in their 30s, 40s and 50s saying the same. A vanishingly small percentage of women of all age groups (2% or fewer) watch porn with this degree of frequency.

The italics are what I quoted my post. 2% or fewer of women watch porn every day or most days in all age groups.

Use the full details if you want to compare like for like. Like that 35% of Women under 30 view it compared to 65% men. Or that of those that view several times a week it is 49% of men and 26% of women.

This again does not support claims it is a male only issue. Beginning to look like you have no idea what your daughters are really up to.

You're completely disregarding the frequency with which men and women watch porn. Even if we pretend that 30% isn't a significantly smaller amount than 70%, women are watching porn about half as often as men. So half as many women, watch half as much porn as men.
I'm quite comfortable stating that it's a male problem based on those stats.

ATenShun · 04/10/2024 19:28

@Fluufer Nobody has ever suggested that more men than women view it. But as the figures in both the polls provided, show young women watch more and with higher frequency year on year. It suggests many young females are very much supportive of the porn industry.

Half as many women watch half as much porn. It is still a male led industry. Stop trying to minimise it.

Nellodee · 04/10/2024 22:37

Plenty of young women have internalised the misogyny rampant in our society. People act against their own self interests. Watching porn is not a feminist act.

With respect I feel there is significant differentials and I feel we need to ensure language clearly defines the content.

There is porn which is in effect closer to erotica.

There is ethically made porn.

There is traditional business made porn, e.g. the stars have sex toys range.

There is fetishism porn, specific interest porn.

There is significant amount of "amateurs".

And then there is very clearly abuse world as porn.

I am sure I am missing a load of the types. But I do think to progress this discussion, and it does need to be progressed clear definitions are needed because I read a lot of threads and to me it appears different people have different versions in their head

I also believe different versions require different approaches.
