Coldplay presale

Has anyone signed up for the Coldplay presale? This is for the dates that they are playing next year in Wembley and Hull.

I think that we are supposed to get an email about it tomorrow

I was in the waiting room for the extra 2 dates as soon as I saw them but still about 35,000 in the queue and only the expensive hospitality stuff left. So frustrating. I'm not starting work until 10 tomorrow so going to try all three ticket sites and hope that AXS and See might be better. Fingers crossed.

I got 2 tickets but only because I checked Twitter and someone had posted about the 2 new dates! I was about 32000 in the queue but got 2 seated tickets that were £195 each. Not great and on a Wednesday which I really didn't want as we're in Gloucestershire. Still, better than nothing.

We saw them at the Royal Albert Hall when they were touring Ghost Stories and you had to have ID in the ticket holders name AND present the card that you'd bought the tickets on to get in. They were very strict too. I can't understand why they don't do the same again - if it's not in your name, you don't get in. Resales only at same price through Ticketmaster.

Anyone trying for the postcode allocated ones for Hull?

Is it just ticket master selling tomorrow?

A frustrating day.

I’m annoyed that so many of us had pre-sale codes and wanted tickets, yet pre-sale closes at a certain point, and tickets are then offered to the general public the following day. So many disappointed people on this thread.

Thank you. Oasis was a spectacular fail for me so I don't know what I did differently this time!

Is anyone thinking of trying again tomorrow? I'm really in two minds - I've been massively distracted today with the added dates throughout the day! Does Coldplay not realise that we are all working alongside trying to get tickets for their flippin shows!!!

I am really pissed off sat in 2 queues today jyst been in local presale one ( it’s not even a nice venue in hull) as am
in eligible post code sat in waiting room took 15 minutes to get in only to find no tickets left why don’t they tell
you that before you get to the ticket buying page

@holidaysoonplease - yeah, I'm going to try but based on today, I guess that it'll be obvious if I'm in a similar queue location to today to just move on!

@MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet I worked out today that you needed to be under 30000 when first getting into the queue to stand any chance of getting a ticket - I started off this morning at over 102,000 for Aug 30, then around 90,000 for the early Sept shows, then around 80,000 for the later Sept shows. Completely pointless to stay in the queue but I found I weirdly could not leave. Am thinking I will apply some logic tomorrow and if over 50 or 60,000 in the queue just bin it - life's too short, and I could watch it on TV as a last resort! ... Good luck!! 😀

I managed to get two standing tickets for Sunday 7th at Wembley in the 2.30 release after being kicked out at paying stage this morning and nearly crying 🥲. I joined the waiting room at 2.10ish and was 14,000 in the queue when it opened. I’m not sure whether when you join the waiting room has an impact on your queue position, but I would join as early as possible for those trying tomorrow! Good luck 🍀

And another thing.... I feel conned into buying the album to get a pre-sale code... Coldplay marketing and money makers clearly identified this as a way to drive up sales!! Right, I'm going to stop complaining now.

Really!? I thought that was how they were provided - how else could you get them?

To get the code you needed to buy the album.

Apparently they're not legally allowed to do this, so people could get a code without purchase and that's how so many bots got into the system today. There was a form that you had to fill in to register on the website.

I'm a bit cross about it tbh because I don't even own a CD player but bought one anyway..... it was very clever marketing.

The band must have made an absolute fortune today. I am utterly hacked off and, at the moment, they can shove their album up their arse. It’s leaving a real bitter taste.

I joined the waiting room for the 14:30 release just after 13:30 and got nothing having spent all morning in the queue for the earlier dates. I didn’t realise that there was a waiting room as I joined the queue at 9am this morning.
I’m pinning all my hopes on tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 (and not so silently raging about all the touts that are already reselling at crazy prices 😡)
