Has anyone signed up for the Coldplay presale? This is for the dates that they are playing next year in Wembley and Hull.

I think that we are supposed to get an email about it tomorrow

Having left a queue for an August date to join the 2:30 September waiting room, I'm now 175000 in the queue 😡

FoneyMoney · 26/09/2024 14:32

110,000 ahead of me. HOW is that possible 🤣 dread to think what tomorrow will be like

Because people from all over the world are buying them.

I was living near Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland when the Taylor Swift concert was on.

There were a huge amount of Americans walking past me to go to the concert

48000 in front for Monday, 87000 for Sunday. Not feeling hopeful.

Abbylikeswine · 26/09/2024 14:36

It's not a rollercoaster it's a con

pantomanto · 26/09/2024 14:41

I was in the waiting room from 90 mins for both dates sale at 2.30. One didn’t take me into the queue and so when I refreshed I was 66000. I am not waiting on that. The second one did take me in but with 28000 in front.

Birdseyetrifle · 26/09/2024 14:41

It would only put the £195 tickets in my basket and I can't afford those and then cancelled them and it booted me out and put me to back of the queue again!!

Birdseyetrifle · 26/09/2024 14:43

This is so frustrating, why can't you choose the price of the tickets!!

FoneyMoney · 26/09/2024 14:43

My cousins has just told me she managed to get tickets at 9.15 after being 600th in the queue. She was also less than 100th in the queue for oasis tickets. SO lucky

Greenkindness · 26/09/2024 14:43

This has been so infuriating. Someone on Twitter said they should manage it like Wimbledon tickets where it’s a ballot, or you can pay for the hospitality tickets, and there’s no resales. Would feel fairer than this crap. I’m sure there would be challenges but this is infuriating and not joyous at all.

fluffyblanketweather · 26/09/2024 14:44

I went for Tuesday 26th as I thought it would be less in demand. Only 3000 in the queue before me and got decent seats by 9.25.
I haven't seen anyone else choose this date so looks like my logic paid off

Findingthissohard · 26/09/2024 14:45

I’m in but it will only let me have £195 tickets. I don’t want them but it won’t let me choose. So frustrating

Birdseyetrifle · 26/09/2024 14:45

I got in quite quickly but couldn't afford the tickets they kept allocating me. Then it booted me out.

hby9628 · 26/09/2024 14:45

@Birdseyetrifle I agree it's not very fair. We got £76 seats however although I'm pleased to have any seats at all I would have paid more for better seats but there's no option for any changes which then means people who have a more limited budget are stuck.

fluffyblanketweather · 26/09/2024 14:46

It's shocking that people are posting tickets on viagogo already, it shouldn't be allowed and those people should have their tickets put back on for proper sale

AmusableDragon · 26/09/2024 14:46

Now in another queue for the September dates 🤔😕. On the plus side - have managed to get tickets for Iron Maiden in June. DH delighted as he's a big fan. I'm still hanging on in there for Coldplay!

Birdseyetrifle · 26/09/2024 14:46

If the queue is longer than 90,000 there is no point staying in it.

Hoping others were more successful and richer than me so could afford the price of the dearer tickets.

Yeah its always like that. less people can go to midweek dates then weekend dates, because of work.

If someone works in York, they can't get to a midweek concert date in London, they can only get to a weekend date

So it a case of they tell you what they will sell you and if you don’t want them tough? I can only afford 5 tickets up to £100 or so each.

Why are they allocating you certain tickets only, as you are one of the first ones in.

Is it a technical glitch?

So you mean there wasn't such a demand years ago, as there is now?
How much were the Coldplay tickets?

In the early days, around £30 ish!

I managed to get some for around £70 in Munich earlier this year.

Today's were £193 all in!

Abbylikeswine · 26/09/2024 14:50

@birdseye I wonder why it is allocating you certain tickets. It wasn't like that for the other dates. It let me look through all the different types of tickets

Yep I tried 3 times to see if they would put cheaper tickets in but each time it was £195 and then they booted me out.
