Has anyone signed up for the Coldplay presale? This is for the dates that they are playing next year in Wembley and Hull.

I think that we are supposed to get an email about it tomorrow

Well it was on a tips page and it worked so I'm happy out. Got me the tickets!!!

I'm going to give it 15 minutes this time round then give up.

I'm on 2 different devices with 2 different accounts. I reckon it'll still bounce me off.

I think they should just cancel all those tickets that went on resell sights and refund them and then try blocking them from buying in future. Obviously realise this would be hard to do but it's what I'd like to happen.

Years ago we queued up at a physical box office. Less people went and did that so less of a crush less demand and less stress.

So you mean there wasn't such a demand years ago, as there is now?
How much were the Coldplay tickets?

Can anyone help me… I’ve got this twice when I’ve got to the end of the queue. I’m guessing it means the tickets are sold out?

Demand has always been there but the ability to get to a physical box office or HMV was limited.

@Thewordwomble yes, all the presale tickets for that date are gone, you can try again in the morning at 9am when the general sale opens

Thank you so much for replying to me. I guessed that was the case but wasn’t sure as it didn’t actually state that! I’m so glad some of you managed to get tickets. The system really sucks.

I think there is more demand, my parents wouldn’t have had any interest in seeing a band in a stadium when they were in their sixties like DH and I. People are also willing to travel much further to see bands, my adult DC tell me that their friends think nothing of travelling to Europe to go to gigs. I know someone my age who flew to Spain to see Post Malone.

Also online marketplaces have made it easier for touts to obtain larger quantities of tickets and sell them without being easy to spot them.

We got three tickets for 26 August. All three of us got codes and it sounds as though most people did, meaning a huge demand on the website today. DH and I joined the waiting room at about 8.40 this morning and each went for a different date. I was about 59,000 in the queue when it opened, he was around 30,000. It moved sooooo slowly, but he eventually got to the front at about 10.25. It then looked as though it had kicked him out completely, which was rather alarming, but when he clicked ‘join the queue’ it put him back at the front again. We got tickets for the top level, but directly facing the stage and not too near the back, so pretty pleased with that. Think they were around £85 each.

I think general sale will be on other sites too won't it.
Also Kylie tickets go live tomorrow so who knows how the sites will cope!

Are we ready folks. Fingers crossed for all those trying again.

I joined at 0830 on two accounts and one entered at 12000 the other at 39000. Got one ticket on the 12k which is also my main TM thankfully. The 39k was using 5g on my phone.

Last time I try for tickets for a big artist.
