DH is refusing to give me admin access to the router in our house because he doesn't think i'm responsible enough. We've both had long careers in tech! I'm currently studying for a security certification.
I'm in shock he thinks he can justify withholding access to a service I pay for at least as much as he does.

@adminaccess you can usually stick a paperclip in a special hole in the side of a router to reset to factory settings. Find the user guide (online if needed) and reset it. Then change it and see how he likes it. Or suggest if he wants to control it, he can pay the whole bill.

Given how quickly he’s given you access I suspect he didn’t want you to have the password because it’s one he uses elsewhere.

• you have a techy router and he’s worried about what you’ll see on the logs
