The reason I brought up the CIA was not to suggest they have anything to do with arranging or attempting an assassination of Trump, but to emphasise that the US State, in the form of the CIA, has a long-standing history of acting wholly outside all International Law in order to further its own agenda. The CIA also has a history of doing exactly what the CIA wants, and that doesn't always marry with the stated aims of US policy.
People make the mistake of thinking that the more developed and more economically powerful a State or society is, the more civilised it becomes, and they leave the tools of brutality and brute force behind as their soft power grows. The Stalin era Soviet Union's disregard for law and procedure is well understood, it continues in Russia to this day with show-trials of political opponents of Putin, State-sponsored murder dressed up as "accidents" and so on. The US is portrayed as squeaky clean by comparison, but in reality that's only because the CIA acts wholly independently of Federal Government, is not answerable to Federal Government, and therefore anything it does is never laid at the door of US Federal Government.
You are incredibly naive if you honestly believe powerful people and organisations in the US are above using tools like assassination to achieve an end, or wouldn't consider staging entirely fake operations that harm people they consider superfluous and irrelevant if it furthers their own goals. The point I'm making, is I'm not claiming any particular organisation or even Trump himself definitely set up the Pennsylvania attempt, merely that it's naive in the extreme to discount any such possibility because the US is a "civilised" country and beyond such things, and especially since bystanders were killed or injured. It's nothing of the sort, and as I said originally, it's one of the very worst offenders on the planet for using underhandedness to further its agenda. It's part of US culture to operate in this way, so faking an assassination is not anything remotely strange.
Oh, and even the current President does not "order the CIA to do things". That is not how the CIA works.
