I’m planning a trip and I’m curious about people’s experiences with hotels. What’s the best hotel you’ve ever stayed out and what made it stand out? Whether it’s the service, location, amenities, or something else, I’d love to hear your top recommendations!

Stayed at the Scotsman hotel in Edinburgh. I got the date wrong and booked on the day after I had booked for. They upgraded us to a suite for the night. Utterly fabulous and bigger than my actual house.

Derwent Manor Hotel and Spa in the Durham Dales. Beautiful and the food was superb.

Currarevagh House in Oughterard, Galway. It’s on the edge of Lake Corib.
This really is a family run hotel, Henry runs the hotel, his wife, Lucy is the chef and his mother June hosts afternoon tea, all homemade cakes and biscuits. Dinner is at 8pm and is a set menu (unless of allergies), always delicious, seconds are available…
Rooms are lovely, plumbing is a tad dodgy, not surprising given the age of the building.
No TV , but Wi-Fi is OK. You’re expected to socialise over coffee after dinner.
Lovely!

Raffles - Jimbaran, Bali
Josun Palace - Gangnam, Seoul
Corinthia, London

All 3 for different reasons.
Raffles was pure relaxation and peace, and the hotel location was stunning. The food was wonderful, and I couldn’t fault a single thing about the place.

Josun was luxurious and offered a beautiful base while exploring Seoul. The staff were incredible, and nothing was too much trouble.

Corinthia is my go-to whenever I visit London, and if it’s a special event/occasion, I’ll book a suite. If you enjoy great wines, the selection they have available is fantastic, and the champagne offerings are even better. It’s a truly beautiful hotel, and the staff always go above and beyond to make your stay special.

The Bellagio in Vegas. Love everything about it - Italianate styling, ceiling sculpture by Dale Chihuly in the lobby, the fountains, 7 swimming pools, food, service, theatre, chocolate fountain, seasonally decorated conservatory etc. Stayed there 3 times.❤️
