Is DH thick as mince?

We are abroad on hol atm, 6th floor room.
DH took DD,4, back for a snack and play in our room at hottest part of day.
Over dinner tonight he told me he left DD playing on the balcony while he had a shower. It's a glass wall shorter than she is with a little wall she could also climb up.
He says she is very sensible, sees no issue at all, I am fucking livid he did this. AIBU?

I could literally make burgers for months with the amount of mince your husband is!

He is wrong, obviously but what a horrible thing to say about your husband.

Absolute bollocks. Should she have said 'Awww he's been such a silly billy bless his little cotton socks"? No. He's a fucking idiot and is definitely thicker than mince.

I actually can't read these sort of posts as they are too upsetting. Just had a vision of my DD aged 4 doing the same and it made me feel like I couldn't breathe. Your DH is lucky nothing happened. I'm so glad your DD is safe. Call him every horrible name under the holiday sun - I know I'd not hold back. And make him take another shower - cold this time - to wash the idiotic ways out of his thick as mince brain.

I live on the continent and I think I know the type of balcony you mean. There's a low wall, then a small gap, say 5-8 cm, above which sits the glass of the balcony. Basically the wall raises the glass, and therefore the total balcony height, but unfortunately also acts as a step should a child wish to get a leg up.

You need to NEVER leave your DD in his care, ever again. EVER. She won’t be safe

Considering he could have killed their daughter , no that's fine.

So not shorter than dd…. Lol then it’s not the same thing

Yes, shorter than the child once she's stepped up onto the wall part. Meaning she could lean over and tip over the glass part, because kids do climb stuff!

If the barrier were just solid glass, taller than the kid, nothing to step up onto, there'd be no problem would there?

that could have been worded a bit nicer…
Either way taller or shorter, you don’t leave a kid unattended on a balcony - so no, I don’t agree that there’s no problem if it’s solid glass. She could easily stand on a chair and trip or a bunch of other scenarios.
