Family wedding next year.. seen this dress online that I love....

Would I be unreasonable to think this is ok for a wedding guest? Or is it too bridesmaidy?

What is it with the UK and wedding guest dresses. Why are guests not allowed to look nice too? Its a big occasian so surely everyone should dress up if they wish. Avoid white and bridesmaids colours and wear whatever you like

I still think it’s too much - bare bits at side, open back, ghastly frills, laces and bright pink to boot. I note it’s 100% polyester, so reckon it will look cheap. Polyester always looks cheap.

Unless you’re really extremely slim and toned, there are lots of areas for fat to poke out of.

Got married a week ago and someone wor a very similar dress to our wedding. They looked amazing.

Honestly as long as it isn't the same as the bridesmaid dresses and isn't white go with what you feel amazing in. As a recent bride I can assure you those of us who are remotely reasonable couldn't give a fig what people choose to wear and we don't have tome to notice!

Steady on! What will MNers do if you wipe out one of the more entertaining genres of thread? There’s nothing better than needing to reach for the smelling salts after clicking on the photo link of a “ is this too revealing/ tacky/ inappropriate/ attention-seeking for a wedding?” There is one thread atm with an autumn wedding dress that is so appropriate and lovely that the whole thing fell rather flat. We all had to be very complimentary.
