I think your Spanish tuna might be more outing (and interesting) than your sink op 😉

Headingtowardsdivorce · 19/08/2024 07:56

Found this top tip, sorry, life hack, on Instagram yesterday

to share this INSANE life hack!!!!
quickturtle · 19/08/2024 07:57

This amused me

Downunderduchess · 19/08/2024 08:02

My game changing life hack is to ask anyone taller than me to change my light bullbs. That way I don’t have to get the step ladder out. You’re welcome. 😉 I mean it’s not draining tuna level but still…

Cherrysoup · 19/08/2024 08:08

Who has Tim for this? Plus, it wouldn’t be properly drained, it needs pressing in to get out more liquid, particularly the flavoured tins in oil.

Edenmum2 · 19/08/2024 08:09

God you're all a load of grumpy fuckers this morning aren't you

Insane life hack is an overused phrases these days.

Your phrase 'no fucking boring tips' is somewhat ironic in these circumstances

Edited

🤣🤣🤣

Not sure that anyone is going to be able to find anything more exciting than that so you might want to lower your expectations

😂😂😂

Tiredalwaystired · 19/08/2024 08:13

My tip is: if you want to be able to identify your own sink in a photograph, write your name on it in waterproof pen.

dijonketchup · 19/08/2024 08:15

I do actually have an insane life hack that will save your sanity.

When giving drinks in cartons to children, first peel up the little triangles on either side at the top so it looks like it has ‘ears’. Put straw in and tell child to hold it by the ‘ears’ as you give it to them to drink. Voila, no immediate squeezing the middle of the carton and getting the contents all over them and you.

Saw someone do this yesterday, life changed.

Why does it have to be Tim?

ssd · 19/08/2024 08:21

Is this the mn equivalent to the tips in the Viz??

Hateam · 19/08/2024 05:52

I boil water and put it the freezer.

In the event of my boiler breaking I can defrost it and have boiling water.

Fucking GENIUS!

Save money on parking tickets by smashing your windows and putting a sign saying ‘police aware’ on the windscreen

KateDelRick · 19/08/2024 08:24

The late Queen shared this amazing life hack with me: if a priceless jewel drops out of your tiara just before a banquet, chew a fruit pastille of the same colour and stick it on.
Works every time.

ChickenTikkaKebabs · 19/08/2024 08:25

Yes, you are being unreasonable. And maybe insane?

But suggesting it will make our lives wonderful by draining the can before taking all of the lid off- really?

My life hack is spend your time doing someone more worthwhile than writing 'insane life hacks'.

floatingislands · 19/08/2024 08:25

Is this a hack to get your cat to lick the sink? Because I think it's easier to just wipe it down with a damp sponge.

that’s actually really clever 👍🏻

Aww poor OP was only trying to share something they thought was cool - why bring them down so much ?? Mumsnet is supposed to be a supporting site -not one to burst another's bubble !

Hazydetailonlife · 19/08/2024 08:27

I open all my windows in the summer to heat up the house in preparation for winter. Saves loads on heating.

You're right. Tim is shit at draining tuna. Would like to know who DOES have Tim for this.

thaegumathteth · 19/08/2024 05:22

I don't understand? Your life hack is to drain something by letting liquid run out of the hole???

This.

Is that what you mean by 'insane' it's so obvious?

Hack? Seriously, are you trying to be a very poor 'influencer' maybe spend less time on Instabore?

Funnywonder · 19/08/2024 08:29

Not insane life hack. Not even useful tip. It's TOP TIP. It was always top tip. I'm off to Pedants' Corner to air my grievances.

Oh and this thread has really lifted my spirits this morning😁
