My foster kitten would absolutely love that. A rolly thing with liquid pouring out of it that smelled of tuna.

My cats would be fuming if I did that. The liquid from tins of tuna is considered theirs and a very special treat to them although they are only allowed a small amount

Bjorkdidit · 19/08/2024 07:24

I deliberately seek out tuna in cans that need to be opened with a can opener because it's a lot easier to drain it properly by pressing down on the lid.

And I do know you can buy no drain tuna but it's more expensive so I'm not falling for that trick.

Tunotips · 19/08/2024 07:25

Hateam · 19/08/2024 05:52

I boil water and put it the freezer.

In the event of my boiler breaking I can defrost it and have boiling water.

Genius can't wait to try, how long can you keep it for?

YABU to use the term 'life hack'.
Surely the most annoying term ever.

Simonjt · 19/08/2024 07:26

But then you have to clean the sink everytime you open a can, rather than just cleaning the bit round the plughole.

No fish eaters in this house, but you can get no drain tuna.

MrsGhastlyCrumb · 19/08/2024 07:28

FiveShelties · 19/08/2024 05:33

Doesn't it make a mess down the side of your sink?

I am impressed though that you know people who would recognise your sink - I would hardly recognise mine, let alone anyone else's sink.

Same. I haven't seen the fucker in months for dirty dishes.

KimKardashiansLostEarring · 19/08/2024 07:29

Hahaha well I for one bloody loved all of your OP @Tunotips

According to Viz if you choke on an ice cube a cup of boiling water will sort you out......( and possibly earn you a Darwin award)

And while you're there, Rinse with bleach as a covid treatment measure

Bwix · 19/08/2024 07:31

shrew ice cream

VerityUnreasonble · 19/08/2024 07:31

What do we want? Click bait!

When do we want it?...

The answers will shock you.

Lol at "please no fucking boring tips" underneath one of the very least inspiring "life hacks" I have ever seen. (along with perhaps the world's dullest photo).
Is someone crowdsourcing MN life hacks for their own online content?

If using gravity to drain cans is so innovative for you, wait til you hear this: I use air and sunshine to dry clothes. It's easy! Just tie a bit of cord across your garden and attach the clothes to it with wooden paperclip-type things that you can buy anywhere. Bingo! A few hours later, dry clothes!! I know, INSANE, right???

I dehydrate my water in case of water shortages...

When somebody tells you it's chilly out, be sure to grab a bowl, a spoon and a handful of nacho chips before you leave the house.
It will change your life.

Yabu; rice, never nachos

ThreeFeetTall · 19/08/2024 07:34

Here is one from an (ex) colleague:

If you want a PDF simply print out the document... then scan it in!
Bonus tip- you can turn over the printout and now you have a sheet of paper to make notes on!

ReadWithScepticism · 19/08/2024 07:36

This one tip that the sieve industry doesn't want you to know about.

CautiousLurker · 19/08/2024 07:37

Going to add a fucking boring tip, one that I thought everyone knew but I discovered recently that apparently many don’t… when pinning the hems of trousers, wear them inside out. Works every time. Unless you have a congenital leg length mismatch, of course.

What's Viz? Sad

You've misunderstood, @Tunotips s hack is INSANE, not run of the mill insane

Was the user name Tunatips already taken?

LOL! The name wasn't taken, but it is now!

OlympicBlue · 19/08/2024 07:39

Erm, I buy the no drain tube 😂

KerChingo · 19/08/2024 07:43

You need to get out more

SunnieShine · 19/08/2024 07:45

DreamW3aver · 19/08/2024 05:30

Not sure that anyone is going to be able to find anything more exciting than that so you might want to lower your expectations

😁

TBF this is a good tip for quick ice. Boiling water freezes quicker than cold water

Boopbeepbeepboop · 19/08/2024 07:46

Eh? What a horrible mess this must make.
