Farage inciting hate and division - Hos much longer do we have to endure this hideous individual?

1000 replies

Safi7 · 05/08/2024 00:31

So Farage now has a video statement on Twitter claiming that the current rioting is “nothing in comparison to what is to come.”

Anyone else hearing reverberations of Enoch Powell’s ‘rivers of blood’ speech back in the 70s?

He is also, ‘just putting it out there’ that the police and authorities are ‘withholding the truth’ - ie. insinuating that the murderer in the Southport tragedy was actually acting on behalf of a wider terrorist network and this is being hushed.

If this isn’t inciting fear, paranoia, violence and division, I don’t know what is!

I notice he’s gone very quiet about his pathetic accusation that Channel 4 tried to set-up Reform by somehow planting an ‘actor’ to trundle around Clacton spouting racist filth.

No Nigel, you know full well who that campaigner was - and the other Reform campaigners in Clacton caught on camera with their hate speech. These are your people.

I cannot abide this man. The damage he had caused to the U.K. I have been abroad this last month and don’t want to come back. Years and years he’s been provoking hate. He has ruined the country with Brexit - but he always has someone else to blame. I don’t think I’ve ever despised a U.K. politician so much. How much longer do we have to tolerate this?

You seemed to have swallowed 'the explanation' hook, line and sinker my friend.

It was all orchestrated by the nasty Russians, nothing to do with the real issues in this country. Okaay....

So you deny the massive amount of Russian interference in the west to destablise our region? Interesting.

Hummingbird75 · 05/08/2024 15:25

Izzymoon · 05/08/2024 15:24

As do I. Tell that to the people protesting with their children on the streets of Belfast screaming it.

Anyone who things these are demonstrations from people with reasonable values is deluded. This is what these people think and SAY in public. They don’t give a shit, they don’t have “valid concerns” about immigration they are just flat out racists who only want to stir up trouble.
So I take great issue with the posters trying to validate this behaviour and these demonstrations.

It is never ever okay to use racist slurs or to repeat them on here or anywhere.
Please can you stop. Now.

I think English people are the most brainwashed on the planet - we are so quick to turn on our own kind

Who is our own kind?

The Russians will benefit from stirring up hatred, but I do not believe they have the power to influence and mobilise an entire section of society, no. The deep issues that brought them on to the streets in the first place have been there for decades.

LiterallyOnFire · 05/08/2024 15:26

Can we get back to Farage's slithering role in all this?

Hummingbird75 · 05/08/2024 15:18

Yes I have seen them in London on more than one occasion, and I have seen many riots in London to be fair. I didn't see any nazis, not a single one, just lots of football shirts.

And you never, ever saw a single extreme Right tattoo (not just swastikas) or all the arms in the air, or heard offensive chants? You seem very certain you "never saw a single Nazi" but I'd love to know what definition you are using for them, because believe me, they were there. They might not actually self identify as such, they think they're "patriotic Englishmen" who just happen to hate Jews, Muslims and all foreign people and think that Hitler was right.

Shakeoffyourchains · 05/08/2024 15:27

Hummingbird75 · 05/08/2024 15:14

Such a lazy comment.

So you think we have millions of 'nazis' in the UK suddenly do you? Okay, well I disagree.

If one migrant/muslim/non-white person committing a crime means all migrants/muslims/non-whites are criminals then one rioter doing nazi salutes or having nazi tattoos must mean all rioters are nazis surely?

Theat's the logic the right wing are happy to use so they can't really object to it being applied to them.

And will you ever explain what the root cause of their anger is?

MistressoftheDarkSide · 05/08/2024 15:27

Wasn't there some debate about Farage's Russian affiliations not long ago? I forget.. .

CassieMaddox · 05/08/2024 15:27

Well it would have been great if we had kept the sure start schemes - I’m not sure though why I would have specifically mentioned those - we need more I oat ice like these that underprivileged white Boyd can access.

But, you’ve kind of answered the point, the schemes that are successful in helping young who’re underprivileged boys have disappeared

Yes. DUE TO THE CONSERVATIVES CUTTING THEM UNDER AUSTERITY THEN SPENDING ALL THE MONEY ON BREXIT.

I am really fucking sick of the nonsense about it being someone else's fault. I'm a centre left voter, I didn't vote for the Tories to decimate the country and yet now posters like you say I'm the problem for "not listening to reasonable concerns".

If I said what I wanted to about it I'd be deleted. Yet rioting and smashing shit up apparently is fine.

But ignoring whether or not it's Russian disinformation, are you denying that a false name was circulated for the Southport killer and disinformation spread that he was a Muslim immigrants?

No but the massive amount of online misinformation can be traced there. Leading many to believe these lies and make them go onto the streets.

So why now? Why not six months or a year ago? Why have issues that have been simmering for decades suddenly resulted in riots at this particular moment in time?

False information is spread all of the time, most normal people know this. We don't need the Russians to spread disinformation, it happens all of the time by people here!! For goodness sake, such paranoia.

Riversongs · 05/08/2024 15:29

If I were Starmer, as a proper Prime Minister I would have grasped the importance of my role, and my role is to bring the country together - first and foremost and not allow a civil war to unfold on my watch.

I would have said something along the lines of understanding why the rioters feel like they do, and that they are understandably concerned about their prospects, the lack of homes, the lack of health care and the lack of resources to lead fulfilling lives and that I will do everything possible to tackle the inequalities. I will be securing the borders and the immigration plan is going to be x, y and z and to ask them to trust me as a new PM I will be making decisions for them as well as for all of the people in this great country.

I would add that I want them to stop attacking mosques and other people, and to tell them I hear their anger but it is misplaced, and that everyone will be cared for in a Labour administration.

Something along those lines.

The total total absence of any plan for immigration is at the heart of this.
The rest of it is just noise.

So what is Labour's/ current government's plan for immigration? Does anyone even know?

But it isn't anywhere near a civil war, the vast vast majority of people just don't agree with these rioting thugs.

You have had your day on the news and that's it I'm afraid, jail time hopefully for the worst offenders.

Civil war, that's ridiculous
